Arco Lamp Black Round/Flat Base Floor Lamp

When i received this lamp, it was missing all the parts to the lamp and i couldn't assemble it...
so i wanted to them to just send me the missing parts.
instead they made me repack this 190lb lamp and send it back to them
Horrible management and very disappointed

I had searched for one of these on various sites (ranging in price from $300s to $3500!) with the attempt of copying one my sister has--this one turned out even better than the one i was copying. It's sturdy (so much so that i had to leave the marble base outside in the packaging box until my husband got home to carry it into the house for me!), functional, and stylish. Easy to assemble. One of my favorite "extras" that i didn't expect is the foot-pedal power switch that you can hide with the cord behind furniture.

My younger son moved out from the family house so we were looking for a fine but not too sophisticated present. This arco lamp was the perfect choice. It matches with his taste for modern and minimalist design and looks fantastic in the living. The quality is great just as the price.

This fine lamp is the best decor for every modern room. It is simple, modern, elegant. I prefer minimalist pieces and this flat base floor lamp is truly minimalist. The room looks great and the lamp is the centerpiece of it.

I love this lamp. I'm in a loft with 12' ceilings and there was no way to suspend a new light for the dining room table. The top of the arch for this lamp I thought was going to be around 6' so that access to the back seat of the table would be only from one side. To my surprise, the top of the arch on this lamp is 8' It could be shortened a bit but I like it taller as it lifts the lamp at a nice height above the dining table which is a taller pub height table. The lamp shroud is adjustable so that it can still sit squarely above the table.

The base is very heavy and has no problem supporting the overhang and weight. The collet clamps at the joints match my IKEA living room lights. The only reason I removed one star is that the base came with a chip on the top rim. I think someone else complained about that so either I got theirs or the manufacturer has a problem with that. Honestly, it isn't worth sending it back for it. I'm still VERY happy with this lamp.

Ordered this lamp and signed up for AmazonPrime to get cheap next day delivery ..Amazon ended up sending me a package missing the base and the head of the lamp. The package also included someone else's return label inside, stating it had been returned due to missing parts. This verified it had been another person's return already. I ordered a replacement from Amazon, and they shipped one out, saying they would upgrade the package for Prime shipping as well, but ended up sending it via standard shipping. Now I will have to wait another week for the lamp, and I've signed up for Amazon's Prime club for no reason. Not a good experience. On a good note, the second operator I talked to was very helpful, and he did refund me the 3.99 next day delivery fee, so I thank him for that.

This lamp is fantastic. Looks amazing near the sofa and gives the perfect light for reading. More, it is a fine addition to the room with the well built and well formed details. The shipping was fast and the price affordable for everyone.

This lamp came in three packages and the one with the base was VERY heavy and difficult to carry up my stairs. I'd guess it was about 50-60 lbs. I guess I wasn't paying attention because when the confirmation said I ordered the black lamp,I thought the whole lamp was black, but it's only the base which looks the way it looks in the picture and the rest is matte silver. The arc is tall enough to walk under and is a bit big for my apt space. So beware the scale. It's quite a bit bigger than you might think from seeing it online. Would be best if there are two adults around to assemble this as both the base and the arc are quite heavy. The lamp uses an incandescent bulb, which is a bit disappointing. Couldn't get the energy saving coiled bulb to work. Seems to be substantially made.

The arc stem comes in 3 pieces and then two pieces for the shade. Instructions not real clear. There are two disks/washers that you add to the base with a screw at the beginning, and you also have to slide the large shade along the unassembled electrical cord/arc pieces before you attach anything. The instructions are not to scale so it took a while to figure that out and also that there the two washers illustrated are in fact one large silver one and one small that goes underneath the base. The small washer comes assembled with the screw on the bottom of the first arc piece that ends up being attached to the base. I thought those two pieces were missing and was not looking forward to repacking everything.

Again the base is seriously HEAVY and flush to the ground. I could not pick it up to flip it. I succeeded in assembling by sliding the base so the part of it I needed to access was protruding over the edge of the stairs.
