Its shock-absorbing polyurethane outsole features longitudinal and metatarsal arch supports that distribute body weight to help relieve lower body pressure. The contoured latex foam insole offers excellent cushioning for a softer step, and the leather linings keep feet cool, dry and comfortable. Typically I wear Crocs and Birkenstocks, but decided to buy these when I was in DC about a month ago and saw them on sale at Union Station. These shoes are great! No break in time, the strap keeps the shoe secure, and the general effect is that they are supportive without being restrictive. I have plenty of wiggle room in the toe area and the leather is really soft and supple.
The shoes look great with casual clothes. I typically wear them with jeans or pants. I bought them in pewter which is one of those leather colors that you can dress up or down. I liked these shoes so much that I just bought a pair in bronze. These are really a modern take on a traditional mary jane style.
Another reviewer advised not to let the price scare you off. I second that sentiment. When it comes to foot comfort I'm willing to spend more to have happy feet. I feel like my feet are floating when I wear these shoes.
