An Excellent Pack,
By Souts "Souts" (Fort Worth, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bora 80 by ARCTERYX (Misc.)
My Background: I am a field service rep that travels to remote areas to service and install equipment.
This bag has plenty of room with a nifty side zipper. I like the waterproof zippers, pouches and straps on the outside to secure my sleeping bag and foam mat. This is a well made pack that is comfortable with 80lbs of gear inside. I am 6'3" and was concerned that the bag would not fit properly or feel good because of my size. The height is adjustable on the straps and there is more than enough space to adjust for a taller individual than me. The only negative remark I have is that it doesn't come with elastic or velcro on all the straps to secure the loose ends. There are velcro attachments for the two main straps that secure the top of the bag, but it needs these on all the straps IMO. I think if they did something like Camelbak and sewed velcro into the ends of all the straps this bag would be perfect. I do not like sending the pack through airports with a foot and a half of excess strap hanging about so I electrical tape the excess just behind the fastener. I would recommend this pack to anyone in need of good quality gear that will last. This thing has been tossed through airports, thrown off the back of military aircraft, and handled some very heavy loads of spare parts. No rips or tears. Buy Arc Teryx they make quality goods well worth the price. I hope this review has been helpful. |
