Product Description

Streamlined, lightweight down hoody filled with 850 white goose down. This backcountry specialist hoody is intended as a mid layer or standalone piece in cool, dry conditions.

Putting Down Where it Counts
Strategic placement of synthetic and down insulation has Coreloft synthetic insulation, that retains warmth when wet, placed along the shoulders, collar, sleeves and underarms - areas prone to contact with moisture. 850 fill European Goose down lines the core and sleeves where warmth is most needed.

Sealing the World Out
Both the adjustable low profile down insulated StormHood and adjustable hem drawcord make sure the drafts stay outside, so you can do the same. DWR finish repels moisture so don't be afraid of being caught in light precipitation

Backcountry Warmth
Streamlined and lightweight, the Cerium LT down hoody is filled with 850 white goose down, intended to act as a mid-layer under a shell, or a standalone piece for cold, dry conditions. A three part sleeve moves freely and keeps a low profile.

Weight Savings
Specialized construction: light, elasticized hem; three part sleeve; binding finishes and superior craftsmanship are the thoughtful attention to detail that allows the use of stronger fabrics that can stand up to everyday use. This is a piece you will want to live in.

I've tried out several lightweight down jackets and this one has, without a doubt, the best warmth-to-weight ratio. It fits a little snug, as it's meant for layering, but the cut allows you to move freely without the jacket "riding up" or pulling in the arms or shoulders. Arc'teryx nailed this one.

This Arc'teryx Cerium LT Hoody is not your father's down jacket. Instead of outsized puffiness it uses smaller tubes and the highest quality of european goose down to yield a hooded down jacket that has the surprising ability to keep you neither too hot nor too cold.

You just feel, well, comfortable. Like you should. Down to freezing you don't need to wear anything under this to stay warm. If you are active walking or running you could wear this at much colder temperatures.

It has some breathability built in - a great feature. It fits someone who isn't fat reasonably well (I'm slim, medium and 5' 11") but not tight.

The body is moderately long, past your pants pocket opening - keeps your junk warm. Pockets are insulated, too, and well placed so you can do without gloves if necessary.

What I like about the hood is that it ISN'T made for use with a helmet. It fits your bare head well (or over a baseball cap) and keeps the ears warm.

Gripe: the zipper is surely the SMALLEST I have ever encountered on a mans outdoor jacket. Be prepared to take two or three times as long to start the zip each time. Smooth, though, right to the top joining the hood.

No inside pockets. No Napoleon pocket. Believe me, this will make you look good. Powerful dark blue with contrasting trim at cuffs and hood face.

Expensive but worth it. People will notice the difference from the run of the mill down jacket. You've got the best in it's class!

The Arc'teryx Cerium fills the gap between a zeus and a nano puff perfectly. Not too light, and not too bulky. Perfect for a fast and light set up under a shell. Perfect for around town. The best of all worlds, just as you would expect.

I was considering buying this jacket I found it at a local store and went and tried it on and it was in xxl and barely zipped. I have another arteryx jacket that is in the same size and is very roomy I wanted something a bit warmer and love the brand but was disappointed that the cut on this one is very fitted. I ended up with a marmot jacket instead. Glad I tried it on first it saved me the hassle of a return.

Love the look and feel for a 5'3 person, just not for the harsh cold winds that NYC can have. More for 40 degrees or higher. Fits more like a lighter jacket than a winter coat. Would have to be worn under another coat for the harsher temperatures and winds. Price is a bit too much if it can't provide the warmth that a triclimate coat would give.

I just had a chance to test this out yesterday when it was 20 degrees and winds gusting to 50mph (NYC).

Performed extremely well. I walked around town for about an hour running errands. Did not feel cold at all with this and a long sleeve shirt. When the wind slowed down at certian points, it was getting toasty enough to unzip the top. The hood adjustment was easy to use and kept the wind out of my head and ears.

I bought this for my husbands birthday. He absolutely loves it. The only feedback I have heard is that he wishes it had a more athletic fit. The middle on a large is for a full figured man, not a lean bean.
