Got this for my girlfriend. She loves it and wears it everywhere. It is very warm and very comfortable. The small fits her perfectly she is 5'6" and weighs 120 lbs and is smaller in the chest.

My wife loves her jacket. Seamless construction, as always from Arcteryx. The stretchy cuffs on the sleeves are very comfortable. We found that the hooded version seems slightly larger than the non-hooded version (we returned the non-hooded version). Pockets are very warm and fleece lined. Hood stays put in wind. Loved it!

I love the fit and quality of my Arcteryx Atom Hoody. The jackets seem to run small; I'm 5'6," 135 lbs, and flat-chested, and my medium is none-too-roomy, but I like the flattering, fitted shape. I only need a T-shirt underneath. The stitching, seams, and stretchy cuffs are nicely done. I like the close-fitting hood. It's quite rain-resistant and very lightweight. The jacket is attractive enough for wear around town. I bought it for fall hiking, but I usually heat up too much. It will be a nice layer over a long-sleeved T-shirt this winter.

I purchased this item as a gift and my daughter-in-law just loves it. It's great for layering when they go out skiing and snowshoeing. Very light but keeps the wind and cold away.

I live in a coastal climate where weather is pretty variable, so a lightweight but warm jacket is helpful to tote around with you. This jacket is very light weight, compresses small, and is cut in a flattering way - the stretch along the sides makes the fit slim but not too tight to move in or put stuff in pockets (my pet peeve about patagonia jackets - either you order them too big and look bulky or you can't get your phone, keys or whatever in the pocket without it being squashed into your body). I did order a large in this jacket where I normally where a medium, but I'm tall and wanted to be able to get another layer under it without the shoulders being tight or the jacket riding up. The Azulene color is a pretty purple/blue in person, and I'd recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a nice versatile fall/winter jacket for hiking or light outdoor activity. Certainly this won't be enough for a midwestern winter, but it would carry you through the October/November season pretty well.

This is money well spent! I love this jacket, it's SO comfortable, it doesn't even feel like you're wearing a jacket. It's light and I wear it as a jacket alone, or underneath another one. I love, love, love it! The size is normal I would say. It is quite windproof and I never feel clammy wearing it. An absolute must have!

I bought this for my wife with the hood. I have the men's version without a hood. This jacket is ultra light, and comfortable for cold or cool whether. It cuts the wind on front and back panels, and has breathable stretch on the sides. It can be used for high intensity outdoors and be comfortable.

This jacket is my all-time favorite piece of outdoor clothing. I was skeptical when I first saw it, because it looks rather inconsequential (I tend to get cold easily), and the cut looks weird and unflattering when seen on a clothes hanger (the sleeves seem to slope in a weird way). Thankfully, I ordered the jacket anyway. Turns out it fits like a glove - smooth & soft, no rubbing seams anywhere, moves with my body motion so effortlessly that I never feel it pulling or stretching. Also, it's the best temperature regulating item I've ever owned. It's warm enough to keep me comfortable outside when stationary on chilly days with only a t-shirt or light base-layer underneath. Yet it breathes so well that I can also use it for high intensity activities without overheating. I biked to work in it throughout this past winter in Germany (temps around freezing), and the combination of front/back wind resistance and side panel venting was perfect. I also hiked Kilimanjaro in this jacket last year and couldn't have been happier with its performance. The jacket weighs next to nothing and takes up very little pack space. In combo with either a mid-weight or heavy-weight baselayer and a shell (when raining or windy), this jacket kept me comfortable but not over-warm all the way up to base camp (16,000 feet). With the exception of two very cold nights in camp and the final summit day climb up to 19,340 feet in the pre-dawn hours (when I switched to a down jacket), this little beauty was all I needed for the 6-day trek. Plus, it doubled as a very comfortable pillow at night. In short, I'm in love with this jacket and hope Arcteryx never does away with it.

A note on fit: the jacket is definitely on the slender side.
