4.0 out of 5 stars 'GROUND ZERO", December 14, 2009

This review is from: Arctic Blast (The Executioner #288) (Mass Market Paperback)

Mack Bolan #288 in GOLD EAGLE's ongoing saga of The Executioner written by Jon Guenther, a writer who to date has written 23 GOLD EAGLE books.

Dress warmly as this story takes Mack Bolan from Texas to the South Pole (Antarctica) where temperatures soar far below zero -30.2 Celsius (-22 Fahrenheit) and winds can roar up to 75 miles per hour, while having no sunlight 6 months each year. Into this potentially deadly and unforgiving area Doctor Blanski (Mack Bolan) ventures with a mission to avert the launch of an ICBM carrying a deadly neutron bomb targeted to the eastern United States. Jack Grimaldi and Hermann 'Gadgets' Schwarz make appearance in this book, along with Hal Brognola and Barbara Price with the presence of Stony Man always in the background.

Intrigue within intrigue, mystery within mystery, driven by a power mad Russian general and his group of thugs keep the reader's interest. Is there also a double agent or mole at work here too?

Another interesting read from GOLD EAGLE books adding to the Mack Bolan saga. Live large.

Semper Fi.
