Arctic Thunder is a fast-paced, snowmobile adventure/racing game full of over-the-top, adrenaline-inducing action. With exhilarating tracks and powerful sleds, the gameplay offers many levels of depth for novice and seasoned players. Armed with his or her own arsenal of tricks, each of the six characters feature unique attributes, personalities, and sleds. Some characters are better suited to attack, while others possess stronger defense mechanisms. Being able to choose different characters each time you play creates new racing challenges. Each character is equipped with a sled themed around his or her personality--with graphics and design to match. A hidden feature allows you to select any character for any sled, further adding to game depth.

Arctic Thunder is a fast-paced, battle-intensive snowmobile racing game that pushes the limits on speed, as well as hand-to-hand and weapon combat. Armed with an arsenal of weapons to choose from like atomic snowballs, proximity missiles and super attacks, the characters in Arctic Thunder possess unique skills and personalities matched with their own custom snowmobiles. Choose from six racing veterans - Agent 5, Candy, Dirty McKurdy, Mai Zhou Lin, Ponzo and Willie Quinn - or unlock more than ten additional hidden characters.

this is a cool game.there are 12 tracks,the himaylayans,russia,washinton d.c.,the alps,a haunted forest,alaska,a winter sports park,a logging site,a ufo encounter,china,atlantis,and a theme park.there are 19-20 riders.and 5 battle tracks,a storm hazard,a pirates cave,an outpost,deep space,and an ancient battle underground.that's 17 places you can GO!

I have to say that for PS2 this is a great game. Of course, nothing compares to the original arcade game where you sit on the snow mobile, move back & forth, feel the cool breeze, etc., but putting that aside, this is a pretty awesome game! Same courses & riders, etc., and you feel all the vibrations and such in the PS2 controller.

I would, however, shop around on the price but at it's current price it's not too bad. If you like fun, excitement and challenge this is a good game for all ages!

This game is a blast! For those of you who aren't very coordinated when it comes to video games...you'll love this game. New challenges come up all the time. There are so many hidden roads, and each new character unlocked makes more fun all the time. Highly recommended.
