Ok, I love full eyelashes. I wore extensions for a long time, but they get messy, expensive, and too much of a hassle after about 6 months. I researched all the lash serums on the market. Many had issues with chemicals being nonFDA approved. I read the reviews for Ardell and decided to try it. WHen I say "IT WORKS" it really makes a difference in the fullness of my lashes. I cannot tell you how many people inquire and compliment my lashes. They ask are my lashes fake or what type of mascara do I use. Granted, I had lashes and I wanted to enhance what I had. Even my mother thought I was being dishonest when I told her my lashes were not fake. Ladies it worth trying. I love it; I bought my second tube the other day!! :-)

When I ordered this product I was a bit sceptical with it, There is a new product out there available by precription only, and I heard alot of strange things about it darkining light colored eyes and darkining the lids..well, I sure didnt want that...and the price was rediculous...so I went on line to read some reviews about these eyelash growth products...I have very delicate lashes and they break easily and it really bugged be...and I found this product had the best reviews except for maybe 1 or 2 that were not satisfied...so I went ahead to Amazon and found they had a 3 pack of the Ardell Brow and Lash Accelerator and I already see a difference in 3 weeks my broken lashes are growing out and my normal lashes are getting longer and oh my god my brows are awesome...so if anyone is as sceptical as I was, dont be!!!! this stuff works!!! for a big fraction of the price of the prescription one and the other ones on the market also. I bought this product because I decided to start wearing mascara since I never really wore it and I liked it so much I started wearing it daily only to find out it would make my eyelashes so dry and weak and then my lashes would slowly fall off. After months of using the mascara I could tell alot of my lashes were gone and it didn't look pretty at all so I stopped using the mascara and searched for a product that would help my lashes grow back fast and make my lashes longer, stronger, and conditioned. So I found this product and it does all of that. I noticed the results in just 1 week! Unbelieveable and you can't beat the price! I totally love this product!!

** The 2 most important things to know about this product**

1) Do not get this product directly on the skin where eyelash roots are. (Also known as the "waterline.") You can apply it just a few millimeters away.

**If you get this in your eye, it stings.**

Then you have to quickly wash it off with cold water, and start all over again.

You can also brush it on your upper eyelashes, if you don't start near the skin.
You can't really put it on your lower lashes, because it somehow seems to work it's way upwards into your eye.

2) I saw results from using this product, at the end of the 3rd month. That's 12 weeks of applying it at night.
I used this on my right eyebrow & lashes only.
My eyebrows are just "regular," but I was hoping it might darken them just a little bit. It didn't. It didn't seem to have any effect on my eyebrow.

But the eyelashes is a different story. I was shocked when I realized that I had an extra row of lashes growing in, and they were getting really nice and long. I'm not talking about eyelashes up to my eyebrows, but really nice and long. And fuller.

The brush you apply it with is exactly like a regular teddy bear mascara brush. If you will bend it a little, right where the brush meets the wand, it really makes it so easy to apply.
My tube is only half empty, so it will last me about 6 - 7 months. For $4.75, that's a steal. If you just don't mind applying it very carefully. It only takes a few extra seconds, and I use a magnifying mirror.

I have applied it some times in the morning, underneath mascara, and it was fine; didn't have any negetive effect on the application of the mascara. I just let it dry for a few minutes before I applied the mascara.

I did take one star off my rating, because it does take just a little bit more time to apply, and because it does sting if you get it inside your eye.

So, if you're ok with this, then you'll likely be very happy with this eyelash conditioner.

It would be wrong for me to not mention that I am using a different brand on my left eyelashes. My left eyelashes are fuller and longer, exactly like my right eyelashes, but it costs twice as much. However, it's still extremely inexpensive, compared to some I've seen online. It is the Lash Serum by L'Oreal. Just the serum, only. I do not buy the other tube that has a mascara and a conditioner in one.

Results for both eyes are the same. The L'Oreal is about $10 I think, but this tube will likely last me a year. And it does not sting. At all. Not even when I get it in my eye.

The brush applicator is different, it's kind of like a thin curved soft strip of sponge, on the end of the wand. Very soft and comfortable to apply directly to the eyelashes, and both upper and lower lids where you would apply eyeliner.
And seriously, it did take all of 3 months before they just took off and started growing.

I have a tube of Mavala Eye-Lite Double Cils - $10 - I have not tested it yet, but I can tell you that it does not sting if you get it in your eyes.

I remove my eye makeup at night with vasoline. I don't wash that off, I only tissue it off. I'm sure it conditions the eye lashes a little bit too.

And finally, a few days ago I bought Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara With Grow Lash Complex. I like it very much. It lengthens my lashes like L'Oreal Lash Out does, only better. I can sweep the mascara upwards on my top lashes, and they will curve up and stay there nicely.

I started using "Ardell Brow and Lash Growth Accelerator Treatment Gel" about 2 weeks ago. My lashes have actually gotten longer and look great. I also used it on my eyebrows because I tend to "over-tweeze" sometimes and they are looking better. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants thicker, fuller lashes and also to those who have over-tweezed their eyebrows because this product is working wonders.

Due to hypothyroidism and maybe long term use of mascara and plucking my brows, they have both become very skimpy. I longed for a product to bring them back but didn't dream it exsisted until I heard about one on television, being used by a popular television personelle. I don't know which one she used, but I decided to try Ardell's which was MUCH cheaper in price, and was amazed to see that it really works. While not an over night process, it does help the new growth to come in denser and stronger. I don't know that it makes the lashes longer, but it may for others. And I don't see how it could help the hairs by brushing this product on the exiting lash itself, because that is dead protein. However, I massage the product at the base of the upper and lower lash line, as well as into where eyebrow line should be. Using it this way, I can testify that I have seen considerable success. Letting it penetrate into the area over night, gives the product time to effectively penetrate in the hair follicles area, as I understand it. I have seen similar products that are much more expensive and while I have not compared them, I can't imagine the higher priced products being that much more effective. For myself, I am very pleased and would highly recommend the product to others looking to increase the thickness and strength of their lash and brows.

I've only used this product twice and my eyelashes look incredible. The 2nd application instantly plumped up my eyelashes. Now they have a thickness I've only been able to achieve by using mascara! It's only been the SECOND day! What I did to my eyelashes during the day probably helped speed up the process.

What I did was I brushed on a little olive oil using a clean mascara brush. I did that a couple of times during the day. It makes for a great mascara replacement. I just curl my eyelashes with an eyelash curler, swipe on some olive oil and I'm good to go.. Be careful not to get it in your eyes. It won't hurt if it does get in your eyes but it does make your vision blurry. Then at night I put on the Ardell product.

I know what you're thinking ("olive oil?") but it really works. It's supposed to condition your eyelashes. I don't think the same results could have been achieved with just olive oil. At least not this quickly. You're welcome to try it out though.

It's interesting to read the mixed reviews about this product. It seems apparent that it works for some and not for others. To clarify my review, I tried this product specifically for my eyebrows only - not my eyelashes.

Last year I purchased some Renewbrow® by Metics, and was astounded by the successful re-growth of my sparse, thinning eyebrows. It was truly amazing - all the bald spots filled in dramatically, the hairs darkened and grew thicker, and I no longer needed to use an eyebrow pencil. But the product is very expensive so. . .

. . .after reading the reviews on this Ardell product and its incredibly low price, I decided to see if it would perform the same or at least maintain the growth I'd achieved with the other product - on the cheap. Unfortunately, it has done neither. I started using this Ardell growth accelerator in early December 2009 and have used it faithfully every single night since then - FOUR MONTHS. Not only did it do NOTHING, during that time I lost all growth I achieved with the other product. I'm not saying the Ardell product caused the loss of my eyebrow growth - I'm sure it didn't. It's just that I was no longer maintaining the brow growth with a product that worked for me.

I just ordered a tube of LiBrow® - Librow - Eye Brow Growth. This is the descendent of Renewbrow that occured when Metics and Cosmetic Alchemy recently merged. They assure me the formulas are the same, and I want my brows back.

WOULD I RECOMMEND TRYING THIS PRODUCT?? - YES. I'm a firm believer that our individual body "chemistries" determine if something like this works for us or not. Obviously it works for a lot of people as the product reviews here clearly indicate. So why not give it a try? - you're out almost nothing to see if it works for you. Good luck.

i OD'd and put it on 3 x a day.. within a week my hubbie and family noticed the difference. they thought i was wearing falsies. no smell, no pain.. this product is a bargain.

i really like that stuff. the shipping costs are annoying, but the product works! my lashes are longer and thicker, and it didn't take long! i'd reccomend it to anyone :)
