This review is from: Lady Arden's Redemption (Signet Regency Romance) (Paperback)
If you know the plot of Shakepeare's Taming of the Shrew you will find this story familiar. Farrell borrows unashamedly from the play. Luckily, she applies her background in psychology to the development of both character and story. Lady Arden Huntly perfected a scathing wit as armor against the loneliness of her childhood. Gareth Richmond, Marquess of Thorne, refuses to be intimidated by Arden's arrogance. He continues to believe in the possibility of a real marriage even though Arden resists him at every turn. Farrell writes so well that you can feel the pain of her hero and heroine, making the book a worthwhile read despite the borrowed plot.
