Ardent reel Kleen is a must to have especially before re-greasing. I use quantum hot sauce to lubricate and this stuff gets the old grease off real well before I re-grease.

I've used a lot of different products when cleaning reels. Ardent has come out with some great products and their reel kleen cleaner has been working great. I clean quite a few reels on a weekly basis; some of my own and a bunch from friends in family in the area. I also like the kits they are selling with the reel kleen cleaner inside with other items.
