More About the Author

Elena M. Reyes was born and raised in Miami Florida. She is the epitome of a Floridian and if she could live in her beloved flip-flops, she would.
As a small child, she was always intrigued with all forms of art--whether it was dancing to island rhythms, or painting with any medium she could get her hands on. Her first taste of writing came to her during her fifth grade year when her class was prompted to participate in the D. A. R. E. Program and write an essay on what they'd learned.
Her passion for reading over the years has amassed her with hours of pleasure. It wasn't until she stumbled upon fanfiction that her thirst to write overtook her world. She now resides in Central Florida with her husband and son, spending all her down time letting her creativity flow and letting her characters grow.

So I just picked this up earlier today and will have to do a completely PG-13 review on this compared to my Goodreads review... so if you want to know just how hot this story is - I recommend you check out unedited reviews where we can all let our dirty mouths flow freely.

I came across this little title after another Author posted a review. Since she loved it - and I love all things her - I knew I would have to get by grabby little fingers on this. This is a short novella that although short on pages, is packed with a crap-load of sex. And it's all told from Gregory's point of view.

Gregory is the manager at his store, he has not quite overcome the impact that his wives cheating had on him and even two years later he is struggling to admit the emotions that are bubbling beneath the surface for the fiery little cashier, Jasmine. Jasmine and Gregory have a push - pull relationship. They both want each other, but Gregory is too consumed with the fear of what could happen if he dares to give his heart what it wants. Jasmine is tired of waiting around for him to come to his senses... but a little flirting with other men seems to go a long way to grab his attention. Little did Jasmine know that her actions would wake the dominant beast that has been trying to claw it's way out of Gregory since he first laid eyes on her. Once these two finally give in and Gregory let's go of his fears things steam up pretty quickly. He is going to stake his claim on what is his and he is not going to do it quietly or softly.

This book was a great read! It had great characters and it really gives you so many different feelings. I wanted to hug Greg, punch Greg, do naughty things with Greg, comfort Jasmine, envy Jasmine... I just went through many different emotions.

The main character Greg is complicated and yet so simple in his love for Jasmine. He tries to fight, but how can you fight your own heart? Jasmine is sexy and strong. You can't help but want her to kick Greg and then kiss it better.

When it comes to their interactions with each other... well I'm surprised my computer screen didn't start smoking...

"The fact that you take charge, the demanding tone you use, and how it makes me want to bend to your will. It makes me so wet for you--"

"Then let's not waste any more time. Do you trust me to continue, Jasmine? Do you want to play?

"My sweet Jasmine, for today I've decided that we're going to play a game. I've always wondered how many licks from that sweet tongue of yours it would take for me to erupt; today, baby, we find out."

But their interactions can be sweet too...

"You notice all that?" she asked in disbelief. "I see you, baby, and that includes every single part."

My final thought on this book is that it was well worth reading. I devoured it in one day which is saying something since I have four children on Summer break. My only complaints are that I needed several new pairs of panties... I would definitely recommend having a shamwow close by before reading... and that I was left wanting more. It didn't have a cliffy ending or anything, but I could definitely say there is much more story to be told. Also... I will NEVER look at a store bakery the same way again.

Ardor will leaving you begging for mercy...

This book...Wow...I have to gather my thoughts because this book just messed with my brain. Breathe in, Breathe out, Breathe in, Breathe out....Forcing my heart to calm down.....Okay, the first words that come to my mind:

Hot and Steamy. Sweet and Romantic.

I was so excited to read Ardor from the moment I saw it. One look at that cover and then the promising synopsis, I was hooked. So when the author sent me an ARC, I immediately dropped the other books I was reading and jumped in headfirst. And wow, was I in for a treat.

This book is hot... and I mean its so hot that it will melt your e reader. If you're looking for a charming, sexy story that will leave you begging for more, check out Ardor.

I read Ardor by Elena M. Reyes at the request of the author. The blurb sounded great, and it seemed like a sexy break between books, just as I was looking for a novella. Ardor is about 100 pages, told from the male POV.

Greg is the manager of a BJs (hehe). He has been screwed over royally by his ex-wife, the she-bitch from hell, and he doesn't trust himself or any other women. She ruined him. He has, however, had the hots for his spicy latin employee, Jasmine, for quite some time. She makes it clear she wants him as well, but he just can't trust again.
"She made my mouth water and my cock harden with just that first handshake"

Greg fights with himself non-stop, challenging himself not to look at her. He won't give in to himself, but when another guy comes near her, he freaks out.

"No one will ever touch you. Do you understand me?"

Jasmine can't wait forever. She knows the connection is intense. She wants him over anyone else, but she isn't going to live like a nun. So when Jasmine is about to go on a date with another man, Greg realizes he has to stop it.

"Didn't she see how the thought of her with another man killed me?"

He begs her not to go, but can't give her anything more. He's just not ready.

"He will never be me. I'm the one you want. Give me time...wait for me."

But she isn't going to wait forever. Then again, if she knew what was in his head, she would. Greg is one hot Dom, and every times she calls her boss "sir" it just makes him want her more. Until he finally breaks, and can't hold back any more, and plans a night in BJs alone with Jasmine.
