We have the whole "Little Blessings" series of 7 books, and we absolutely love them. My mother gave these to my daughter for her 1st birthday and they are her absolute favorite books. They are a bit long for a 21 month old still, but I'm looking forward to many times reading them still. An absolute MUST for any Christian family!!!

I absolutely love the Little Blessings books. Before I had a child of my own, I did a ton of babysitting for others. One little boy that I sat for had these books. I loved reading them to him. He really enjoyed these stories and better yet, they teach you about the Lord and what He's all about. They have ones that explain prayer, the cross, about God, about Jesus, about Heaven, and about Angels, etc. Not only do the kids learn, but you pick up things as well. All information in the book comes from verses in the Bible. The book answers many questions that you or your child may have concerning God or Jesus or how to pray. I bought almost everyone of these books to read to my son. I hope that he will be as enthusiastic as others were. Plus, they rhyme and what kid doesn't like rhyming books? It's a great way to spend quality time with your little one. I totally recommend purchasing these books.

This book is adorable.
You can try any of them and you will find that your child will be listening carefully. On each page there is something to be found. If it is the little lady bug that crawls up the page or the little cat or dog playing or kids interacting. Depending on age your child will understand the text and learn acordingly. If of young age most likely they will enjoy the colors very much and the characters and ask questions obout what they are doing. When older they will enjoy the short message that allows them to learn about the wonderful things god does for us and the children. IT is a must have and a great introduction for your child to god and his message and how he guides the children. The drawing obviously are darling and clear and so is the message. THE ONE THING I WAS DISAPPOINTED in .. it said it is a hardcover book and so it is. But it is not like the other books all pages are hard. It has regular pages to read. It somehow isn't the same as the other ones and little hands are not always that gentle. So that is my down. But you can not go wrong with any of these and they make great gifts. Try God loves me and Thank you god.. All of them are cute and great and work ,no matter what your religion. There are no other messages in there then god's love alone and that is a message that all of us are trying to teach our children. Isn't it?

I thought the book was beautifully done until I got to the end. There's a page that talks about thinking it would be fun to be an angel, but when we die we won't become one. My kids picked up on this RIGHT AWAY and stopped me from reading on. They said "Wait, what happened to Grandma and Grandpa, aren't they angels now?" I said right away that I did not agree with that part of the book. That we believe when our lives are done here, we go to heaven and become an angel and we watch over our family and others. I think we should be careful because there are a lot of people that find comfort in this thinking and they might be caught me off guard especially in reading it to kids. They were confused by that. So beware if this is something you've talked to your kids about, they may not like the way that part is worded.
