Stacy Friedman has just had the most awesome summer of her life. At camp, she and her best friend, Lydia, met a girl who trained them in all things cool, like how many black plastic jelly bracelets to wear and which teeth-whitening strips work the best. Equipped with this new knowledge, they’re set to make an unforgettable back-to-school debut.

Unfortunately, Stacy and Lydia aren’t the ones turning heads at Jefferson Junior High. Their clothes, makeup, and hair are totally wrong. Instead, everyone clamors around their other best friend, Kelly, who has transformed from not so cool to so very cool in three months. Stacy and Lydia are happy for her, but shocked when Kelly gets super cozy with Kym and her popular clique, the Chicas. Worst of all, Stacy and Lydia are the only ones NOT invited to Eben’s Hollywood-themed bar mitzvah.

But Stacy refuses to accept their social blacklisting. So she decides they should crash Eben’s bar mitzvah. Though they risk being reduced to a Marni Gross-level of popularity, it is the only way to reclaim their status as eighth-grade It girls. Before the party ends, Stacy and Lydia will have gone undercover, posed for paparazzi, and faced off with the Chicas. They’ll also find out exactly who their true friends are…and aren’t.

More About the Author

Hi. I'm Fiona and I've written two books that should be displayed up and to your right. No, your other right. There you go. They're books for Young Adults and I enjoyed writing them both and wonder if I'll ever return to Stacy Adelaide Friedman, Lydia Katz and Kelly Mooreland. At the moment, I'm not writing anything because I'm too preoccupied with the shirt I'm wearing in that photo up above. It's a good shirt. A solid shirt, but for the life of me, I have just realized that I don't know where it is. The last place I've seen it is in that photo. It's very curious.

A Kid's Review
We Are SO Crashing Your Bar Mitzvah! is a novel by Fiona Rosenbloom. It follows three girls, Stacy, Lydia, and Kelly. They have always been best friends, until one summer, while Lydia and Stacy are at camp; Kelly becomes friends with the popular clique, The Chicas. Before school starts, there is an annual party called "First Night" that decides your social standings for the year. At First Night, a boy named Eben comes and hands out invitations to his bar mitzvah. When he comes up to Stacy and Lydia, he looks at the leader of The Chicas, Kym, who is also his cousin. She tells Eben not to invite them, but all of The Chicas and Kelly are invited. The book then consists of Kelly becoming best friends with The Chicas and ditching Stacy and Lydia. When the bar mitzvah comes around, Lydia and Stacy have a plan to have Kelly not go to the bar mitzvah. They have a sleepover the night before and keep her up very late so that she will sleep through the bar mitzvah. Unfortunately, that does not work so Lydia and Stacy decide to crash the party to show that they are not losers like The Chicas think they are. They take a long adventure to find outfits, money, and makeup for the bar mitzvah and finally get there. Do they get caught? Do The Chicas finally accept them in their clique? Read We Are SO Crashing Your Bar Mitzvah! to find out.
We Are So Crashing Your Bar Mitzvah! is a very good book and I would highly recommend reading it. It never gets boring, and it is a real page-turner. It seems like a good book for children ages 10-14. It sends a very good message about being true to yourself and being a good friend. It also tells you that being popular and looking good aren't what life is about, it's about being you. Throughout the book, the girls are all trying to be accepted by the popular girls, and they think that that is all school is about. If I were to rate this book, I would give it 9.5 out of ten stars. It sends a great message and is all in all a very good book. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this book to anyone that enjoys books that are about real life in middle school, and have a great adventure.
