This review is from: We Are Not Alone (Hardcover)
Almost no one can hit a home run every time at bat, and Hilton's reputation is safe based on Random Harvest and Lost Horizon alone. This is a slow moving tale in the vein of romantic stories sometimes called "poignant." It's not a total waste of time, but doesn't engulf you in the story as the two books mentioned above do. The plot is about a semi-unhappily married couple and the innocent woman who enters their lives and pays the consequences for it. |
