4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing
A friend passed this CD along to me and just said, "have a listen." After one night with the record, I was on the website trying to find their shows. To get an idea of the sound, it is part-The Rapture, part-Afrika Bambaata, but the end result is refreshingly unique. If you are a fan of the DFA label, or if you dig The Gang of Four - or hell, if you're into...

3.0 out of 5 stars Well...
I saw them last night open up for IMA ROBOT. The music was very cool, the drum, synth, guitar loops were very cool, but the vocals killed it. The lyrics that I could actually make out were awful so I was quite glad I couldn't hear them. But the music itself was quite unique.

I hear gospel and old-school punk in here in the midst of electronica. Music for dancing to be sure, but it's smart, fun, and smart-alecky. Have a listen to the snippets here on amazon. If they're intriguing, buy the album, but definitely catch them live if at all possible.

apparently their fans are idiots. i am talking about the reviewer below mine, thomas burke from vegas. i dont know about other amazon buyers, but i personally dont want to read words like "faggotry" when im trying to decide whether or not to buy an album. and obviously DDM dont seem to think that electro falls into the "faggotry" category, as i just saw them open for peaches... buy this album, its great, but leave biggoted language in your head, not on amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Musical Orgasm, August 31, 2003

After seeing them at Juvee in Los Angeles, CA i was hooked. I Got the chance to interview Matt Howze (percussion) and I picked up the album and it still owns my cd player. With a blend of heartful gospel, some punk rock and drum/ synth loops you are in for a treat. From start to finish, this album is pure bliss, with songs like the soulful "I want your sass" and the very calm yet beautiful "I've Got The Shots" you can't help but feel the groove and DANCE! DANCE! DANCE! DANCE!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, July 23, 2004

I haven't heard this album. Rather, I saw them live at a show. The duo was a meld of intensity, energy, and downright eccentricity. The music was phenomenal (especially Peace of Mind). I walked away from the show thinking "that was amazing" I tried finding them online, at other shows, and what have you but to know avail. That was four years ago. I still remember the name and just glanced over it while browsing. An amazing band for anyone who likes indie rock.

I saw them play at the bottom lounge in chicago. They are pretty wild and funky. They play neat dance/punk and don't get turned off by that. Everyone needs variety. the singer is pretty crazy but it's artistic. Throw away your linkin park album. buy this.
