Great game but...,

I have to admit, I've had a lot of fun with this game so far. I don't currently live in the US, so I cant say how accurately this game is to the series, but judging from other reviews, it must be dead on. Jeff Foxworthys' voice is actually used in the majority of this game, and the questions are actually pretty tough! I feel I am smarter than a fifth grader, and I got all of the questions right on the second go-through. (On the first try, I was stumped by the million-dollar final question, which was who wrote "O Captain, my captain"?. Do fifth graders actually know this? Do you? I don't remember ever hearing of this author at least until Jr. high. But anyhow, this game is great, and I feel it has lots of replay values...
.. Which leads me to the disappointing aspect of this game. While playing my fifth game I noticed that some of the questions had been asked in previous games I played through. With a library of "more than 3000" questions, I feel this is inexcusable. By my 8th game, I would say that I had seen at least 5 questions twice, and 1 question 3 times! However if you can get past this one bad point, I feel that this is a great game, recommended to all. Oh, and Walt Whitman wrote "O Captain My Captain".

this game is just like the tv show, without the commercials. i am surprised at how much i DON'T know ! my hubby thought for sure the tv show was fixed because he said "who couldn't answer 5th grade questions?!" well, he has only made it to the 1 million dollar question one time and that was using his 3 cheats. it is a great game to play just to see how much you remember. it is also great if you have those know-it-all friends, you can test them. great game

I love this show. I wondered how this would transfer to the DS format. It does it so well with the voice of Jeff Foxworthy included. The game is like watching the show, but the questions are harder.
The computer animation is good and works in the DS format..and it will keep you playing. If you like the show, you will love this game Bennet Pomerantz AUDIOWORLD

If you want a fun quick game this is it. It wasn't as challenging as I'd hoped but I still enjoy it. In my opinion though it is overpriced.

Even if they can get around Thomas Edison inventin the light bulb, EVERY FIFTH GRADER IN THE WORLD KNOWS THAT HE DID!! Not according to this game. There are more than one wrong answer. BUT the game replays the same questions so often that you memorize the answers....

I don't know what to say that's already been said. Yes, the questions repeat and yes there are things in here that 5th graders know that I don't, mostly regarding music. I play approximately zero instruments. I did learn a few things, mostly geographically, historically, and dealing with literature. I've played this probably 200 times and I've solved the million dollar question about 7 different times. If it's algebra, no problem. If it's anything else, I'm in trouble. I don't think I'll be picking up the new version when it's released this fall. The graphics are excellent and "Jeff Foxworthy" really sounds like Jeff Foxworthy.

Jeff Foxworthy as the host makes the show a lot better since throwing in some humor when tension builds is a good thing in my book. This is probably my favorite show on the air right now. I've always had a belief that the questions they're asking are actually more like 8th grade, instead of 5th grade. Some of them seem a bit tougher than they should be.
Anyway, the game is really good, and just like the TV show. You'll find challenging questions all over the place, and you'll be smacking yourself and calling yourself dumb for missing some of the most obvious ones, I can guarantee that. Pick it up today.

This game is totally addicting. And your computer classmates don't always know the answers. I've only made it to the million dollar question and did not answer it correctly.
Like a previous reviewer, I have had several questions repeated, but I try not to remember the answer so that it is still a challenge. One thing I wish they had done was let you see the correct answer when you get it wrong. Overall this is a great game.
