Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader: Make the Grade

My little girls are 6 1/2 and 7 1/2 and are at an age where they believe they have all the answers. They also think 5th graders are incredibly smart and they enjoy a challenge. The game is easy to navigate and is interspersed with easy to difficult questions. They love playing the game and trying to aspire to 5th grade status. It is challenging but not too much so for inquisitive little girls. I recommend it.

great game....thought i could outsmart them but of course i am like alot of the tv contestants where i look in the camera and say "i am not smarter than a 5th grader"!!!! love the game though.

Perhaps for the paucity of actual trivia games on NDS I believed this be a fitting substitute. It isn't. The interface is poor, the graphics are ugly, and the questions are too limited (on my second run I ran into repeats from my first). Furthermore, there just wasn't any feeling of accomplishment when 'beating' the game.

I'll give this (a kind) 2/5 because it roughly copies the show's formula (at least Foxworthy is in it), and I admit it may be targeted towards children. If you want a thoughtful game, you're much better off with brain age, or professor layton.

This game is very addicting. My husband comes home from work WAY too fast. This game on my DS is fun and it's truly amazing to find out how much you have forgotten. Did I really forget that or maybe my teacher didn't cover that. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

What should not be kept: Jeff Foxworthy, The Class, The Drop Out cheat, and The Hard questions

Just received this DS game and it has become one of my very favorites to play! Easy to follow unlike some games which are confusing and short on instructions. I love the tv show and I love this DS game! Very challenging! And during the game one gets to play mini games as well to earn more! Highly recommended!

I can't say that I cared for this game too much. Especially when I was set to win it all, knew the right answer, but the answer seemed to be one letter longer than the program would let me enter. Like any game based on spelling, it's hard to have the right answer, spelled wrong and lose because the program isn't intuitive enough to know that you are 'right' just not spelled right. ( I remember disliking Super Nintendo Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune for the same reason)

Not a horrible game, but one that I'll trade back in and let someone else tackle it.

The game was brand new. This game is fun and good for testing your knowledge on school subjects.

I'm new and inexperienced in the ds world and i was looking for a trivia game. This game is okay (I thought I was smarter than a 5th grader...!). Never watched the show and I'm finding Jeff Foxworthy's "wedgie" and other juvenile comments irritating and I was surprised by the "cheats" , but the game is satisfying my trivia game craving for now.

Not a bad game , the graphics coulda been better and they coulda used the first season cast as your class mates.
