Michael Campbell is a very funny guy. His book offers clever, funny takes on everyday happenings. He had me laughing with his observations on dentists -- even though I was suffering the aftereffects of a dental visit.

He makes some spot-on observations about church music: "I used to belong to a Baptist church, so I know firsthand that there are endless hours of great religious music. Sing anything out of a Baptist hymnal and you'll want to rise up, puff out your chest, march around the room and impose yourself on a heathen....I'm certain God does not prefer bland music. God is not subtle. He cuts lakes in half, turns people into pillars of salt and sets bushes on fire."

The essays are short and sweet. Once you get started, it's hard to stop.
