Book Description

January 18, 2011
Are You Ready for the ER? was written to better prepare people of all ages for any health emergency. John Genovesi shares his personal experiences and hopes to bring awareness to everyone about organizing their medical records. The more information a patient provides in a systematic way, the easier it is to provide proper treatment in a timely manner. What if you could not speak for yourself? How would the ER staff know your history? Do you have allergies? Are you diabetic? What medications do you take? Are you on blood thinners? On vacations, is your medical information with you? Do you have a list of your medications, allergies, and current and past conditions with you? Are you prepared for a medical emergency? In this book, Genovesi outlines steps to better prepare for most medical emergencies and hospitalizations. Being prepared makes it easier for paramedics, nurses, and physicians. Working together, you can avoid unnecessary tests and procedures. This could save the healthcare industry billions of dollars a year, which trickles down to you, the payee. This also decreases the risk of medical errors due to doctors not having the proper information and sometimes prescribing drugs that you may be allergic to. Help the medical professionals help you!

A MUST READ!! According to the JOURNAL of THE AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION there up to 225,000 deaths per year in the US alone from iatrogenic causes which ranks these deaths as the # 3 killer. Many of these deaths can be prevented with a simple resolution, poignantly expressed by Genovesi himself: PREVENTION. Are Your Ready for the ER? should be a requirement for every American household.

Scary, but true February 16, 2011
Format:Paperback
Scary but true: The equivalent of 390 jumbo jets full of people are dying each year due to likely preventable, in-hospital medical errors, making this one of the leading killers in the U.S. alone. Genovesi's mandatory reading, Are You Ready for the ER? spells out what steps we, the individual can take to prevent wasted time, money and lives in the ER. Every loved one should read this!

An absolute MUST READ book! February 23, 2011

Format:Paperback
This book was so helpful and also so touching. Genovesi really lets the readers into his own life by telling his stories and by sharing the challenges he faced and overcame throughout his mothers constant health battles. I was able to relate to so many of the scenarios that he spoke of and the lessons that he teaches in this book are so unbelievably important to know in any medical emergency. This book has really opened my eyes to the importance of staying on top of your health and the importance of communicating with medical professionals in order to get the results that you want and that you need. I truly feel that everyone needs to read this book and share it with their families and friends. I even researched his other products as well and I am now on board with his whole program! It's amazing and has really brought an awareness to my life that I was truly lacking.
