On May 23, 2007, author Philip R. Hanaburgh suffered a stroke that left him unable to use his left side. In his moving and inspirational memoir, Are You Ready?, he offers advice, practical wisdom, and tips for anyone going through any sort of devastating medical episode, particularly a stroke. Realizing that the market is filled with medical books about strokes, Hanaburgh seeks to reach readers on a more spiritual level, intimating that terrible experiences that force us to confront our mortality and death can actually lead us into richer, fuller lives. Warmly written, Are You Ready? is a testament to the indomitable spirit of one courageous man.
