Fabulous book for understanding your intuition.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Are You Really Too Sensitive?: How to Understand and Develop Your Sensitivity As the Strength It Is (Paperback)
This book helped me understand all the feelings I was getting intuitively, but confused about. It helped me realize I was not weird or too senstive like people kept telling me. I found the book very reasuring and supportive. I can't wait for more books by this author.

Are You Really Too Sensitive,
This review is from: Are You Really Too Sensitive?: How to Understand and Develop Your Sensitivity As the Strength It Is (Paperback)
This book brought me peace with myself. It was the first eye opening to see that although I am different there is nothing wrong with me. Many sensitives lived with this secret that deep down they knew something was amiss. What this book will help you understand is the difference is a gift not a weakness. It is just a matter of bringing your gifts of into balance. It brings the validation of picking up from others. It teaches how to trust your intuition. I have spoke with Marcy for a reading and she is warm and wonderful and has helped me more than I can say. This book is a sensitives bible.

I blindly bought this book a few years ago from Amazon. I'm so glad that Marcy Calhoun wrote this book, because it really explained how different I felt from other people. The explanation that she gives in defining sensitive people really made sense. It's good to know that I am not the only one who feels the way I do and it's not my imagination. Thanks so much for the insight.

I felt that she had been looking over my shoulder my whole life. I came across this book in a small book store since then I have bought 2 more copies for my sensitive friends. The ways she suggest to help are so insightful they can be used for the rest of my life. I read it once and now I am going back and reading again, slower this time. It is a must read for anyone who "feels" too much of the world around them.

Not what I expected,
This review is from: Are You Really Too Sensitive: How to Develop and Understand Your Sensitivity as the Strength It Is (Paperback)
I bought this book because I am very sensitive and am researching possible causes of this and just trying to find out what it means. I liked the sound of this book because she talks about people who are ultra sensitive and how they often have special issues to deal with. Unfortunately, the book failed to really interest me. She didn't get into how we are supposed to know whether we are even an ultra-sensitive or not, so you are left not really knowing. She had a lot of suggestions for improving your life and spirituality, but I found the information the same stuff that I have read over and over again in other books, and at times the wording itself sounds a little old fashioned.
One thing that I did find inspiring was her claim that she lost 130 pounds by growing spiritually and learning to listen to her body. This sounds like a good theme for another book entirely, but this book was unorganized and seemed to be a lot of information that really didn't lead anywhere.

Happy with book,

I bought this book years ago and it has served me well. If you are a sensitive person it really helps shed light on many things you go through.
It helps but in words things you are feeling and experiencing. It is a great book to refer to when you feel frustrated and forget some basic ideas.

This book is well-meaning, but unfortunately it is very poorly edited and disorganized. It was so scattered that I could not make it through the whole book.
