5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Fifth Grader
If you are a fan of this Fox game show, you will love this game. Using the voice of Jeff Foxworthy as the host, the player gets to play the game just like you would on TV. This PC games moves just like the TV show without the ads.

The point is if you want a solo player activity and that challeges and is not a fast finger game, this is a great game...

This game is a good time passer. It's definitely not "Jeopardy". The big problem I have with it is the graphics. Jeff Foxworthy's image, as well as those of the children, are zombielike. I am also unhappy with the script that Mr. Foxworthy reads. It is sarcastic and borders on vicious, especially to children who might want to play this game. All in all, this game...

A hint for most adults, hire a ten year old to help you win this game

Great game, fun entertainment for all

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun and educational for kids, June 28, 2010

I've had this game for a couple of years now. The second time I played it, I breezed all the way through and got to see the million dollar question. I opted to play, hell it's not real money anyway. I knew that Warsaw was the capital of Poland, so I won a million in make-believe money. I've never been able to do it again.

The game is played with the rules from the FOX prime-time version. Jeff gives his usual quips, which become repetitive after a while. But overall, this is a good game that will probably refresh your memory with a few of the questions. It's not always as easy as you might think. The disc needs to be in the computer for you to play it.

At first, game appeared to be very repetative in the questions, but after six games with mostly redundant questions, it started to give me new questions. Not sure what was wrong, but now it seems better. I am cautiously optimistic and hopefully, there are many more new questions to come. Maybe I was doing something wrong. Great graphics and fun.

2.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but so few questions, November 10, 2009

This is a fun recreation of the TV show. It features a VERY small 3D studio in which you can look around, that's ok. Same 5 kids all the time and you have to listen to their introduction, that's ok too. But there are SO FEW questions. If the million dollar question is science, I am absolutely sure it asks you what element is "Ti". It does not need to be a DVD, a 5.25" floppy or even a few bytes can store the amount of questions that comes with this game.

3.0 out of 5 stars Are the programmers smarter than a 5th grader?, March 9, 2009
By
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader (Video Game)
Note to the programmers of this game...the question about the splashdown location of space shots previous to the shuttle program...it's the PACIFIC ocean, not the Atlantic.
Don't know yet if this the one and only wrong answer provided in the game (or was this provided to see if your smart enough to give the wrong answer just to advance?) but do want to let people know not to use this as a learning experience for your kids unless you're monitoring what they might be learning.
Other than that, it's an enjoyable game. Doesn't require a quick trigger finger. Foxworthy's comments can get repetitive - don't know how many times I was asked if I was really a 5th grader - but you learn to ignore it.
Have decided that the way to win the game is to use your helpers and cheats for the higher grade questions from the beginning. Don't know why real life contestants don't do this...
