When it has honestly came down to music lately, there have been a lot more lackluster artists than good ones, and good songs from great artists. But, there is always something waiting in the wings that can be good. That was the case with underground artists Fun, and their collaboration with Janelle Monae with We Are Young from their debut album Some Nights. The song isn't bad, and definitely puts them on track to be this coming generations' Weezer. Yet, I did honestly wish that there could've been more from Janelle in the song. She had a lot in her voice a few years ago with Tightrope, and I thought there was more in the heart that could've been from her. Still, hopefully Fun will keep it up, and flow into that next generation of talent.

This is one of the most exciting and innovative songs I've heard in years, particularly considering it's playing on Top 40 radio. A broadway sound embraced by HS & college kids. Who woulda thunk it? The album, Some Nights, is also incredible. This is one talented composer/singer, and I predict he'll be around for a very long time. Get "We are young" and every song on the album!!

It isn't often nowadays that a band comes out with an album. An entire album, not just a good song or two and a bunch of filler tracks that are crap. This album is good from start to finish. Fun has a sort of Radiohead type approach to building songs and melody. Highly recommend

We (editorial use of "we") are decidedly not young. "We" happen to be pushing 60, but "we" still know a catchy tune when "we" hear one. This is a great little number, even if it was inescapable for awhile. FUN.,indeed.

Reminds me a lot of Queen. The drummer must have been with a Drum and Bugle corp. This is a very good remake of an original from, oops my ADHD just killed that memory. What a great variety in today's music. Glad to see rap disipating.
