THESE 7 SONGS ARE WORTH MORE THAN MOST CURRENT "MAINSTREAM MEDIA" RAPPERS WHOLE CAREER CATALOGS! HIS MUSIC IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR FOR THE HIP HOP INDUSTRY AMONGST ALL OF THE POLLUTION AND GARBAGE. THIS CAT IS SINGLE HANDEDLY SAVING HIP HOP.

Look people, I personally know this cat, and he is one of the best people I know, and his music is as real as it gets...not to mention the best there ever was! The crap on the radio and on CD now is junk, nothing like the old days, and absolutely not like what Yela spits...his music is the best my ears have ever heard, no kidding! When I want to hear something that is real, on point, simply the best...I listen to Yela! Do yourself a favor, buy every track you can find, you will thank me and yourself the very second your ears hear him spit...he is utterly amazing! Yela, mad love mayne, I got your back! Peace!

The thing about this album is that Yelawolf tries something new, which is a big deal. For a musician to experiment, look for new ways of expression, and attempt to offer something new in a genre like hip-hop, arguably the most widely heard genre on the planet, is nothing short of refreshing. Does every song "turn my crank" so to speak? No. But that's okay because trying something new is about finding what works and what doesn't. It's about playing with the boundaries of the genre the musician works in and carving a niche of their own. In that regard, Yelawolf is a pioneer. Anytime a musician attempts to break the mold in this day when over-produced, monotonous, dumbed-down trash music is what dominates, they deserve praise whether they're successful or not. The best tracks on this album are "All Aboard" and "Come on Over." Sampling Jose Gonzalez in "Come on Over" turned out to be a great choice. And the bouncy, upbeat vibe fits well with Gonzalez's moody vocals, surprisingly. "All Aboard" showcases a less energetic, melancholy Yelawolf which I liked more than I thought I would. Kudos for doing something different, Yelawolf!

I've been looking for something "new" to listen to for a while, searching for something that doesn't sound like everything else. This is exactly what I was looking for. While it is rap, don't fall victim to the commercial standard of "rap". While Jay-Z, T-Pain etc. are all fine, this is completely different. If you've been looking for something different to listen to, or just want to hear good, quality music, this album is well worth the $7.
