Surprisingly Bright!,

I bought these in May (3 months ago) and they work great. I didn't need a straight line so I didn't have that kind of issue as others noted. They make really good corners and are easy to lay out. They snap together and some of them can be tough to get clicked in. The lights are surprisingly bright and last all night long. Have had no problems so far with lights not working. Weedeater does not crack, break or mess them up. I bought another set too. I really can't think of any cons so far, except I wish they came with more lighted bricks. I added 2 photos for you to see them in action.

We were skeptical, but this border has worked out nicely. We bought 170 linear feet of it, to do the front and sides of our home. We put the lighted bricks out front. They REALLY work well! They light up bright and last until morning. Very attractive. The border is easy to install, but does take a lot of effort to get a straight line. The snap-together design is simple. Only reason I'd give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that in sandy soil, some of the spikes don't hold especially tightly. But we really do like it and plan to buy more to make a border around some of our trees.

I have used these for a little over a year now. At first I was very happy with these. They are easy to set up. They look for plastic bricks, the lights work well and through out the night with decent illumination. Now after one year here is what is happening While the plain bricks are tough as nails the solar lights are not holding up at all. I have bought 3 of these and probably have 18 of the solar lights. More than half of them are cracked, 3 of them have failed completely due to getting wet and burning out the electronics. These do not get walked on, at worse they get run over with a small electric lawn mover. Nothing out of the ordinary. The clear plastic is getting brittle, which is why they are breaking so easy. Once the plastic cracks water enters and thats pretty much it. After opening up one of the light units, another flaw I noticed is that there is no way to change the battery. After a year or 2 most solar lights battery starts to loose the ability to hold a charge and needs to be replaced. These units use a triple A size battery that is soldered in place So basically you need to replace the whole light unit which runs about $6.50 per light every year or 2. The internal parts of these solar lights far outlive the cheap plastic case its in. The company claims a 2 year warrantee on the bricks with no mention about the solar lights. Like other reviews here they do not answer emails. I have yet attempted to call. So if you like the lights expect an expensive upkeep. I would of hope to get at least 2 years rather than one year *Update* After hearing back from their customer service, the warrantee on the light bricks are 6 months of normal conditions and operation, and new lights an be purchased for 4.99 each. They did tell me that the lights have an average life of 1 year, and they are not meant to be run over with a lawn mower. Thats is odd since most edging you kind of need to do that. The regular red bricks are holding up fine. They just confirmed what I already knew, every year or 2 you need to dish out another $50-$60 to maintain the light cubes. More of my lights are becoming brittle and cracking. Lost another that filled with water.

This is absolute scam! I've bought this in May of 2010. For $90 you expect it to be a quality product. Brick shaped plastic with pins which are easily broke if not careful. At the end of 2010 season 2 lamps did not work. I removed all bricks in the end of September and stored it in garage all winter. Week ago I installed edging and only ONE lamp is working! What is it? $90 toy for one season?

Not too happy with this product for the price. I already have two lights that are no longer operational and in addition to this the parts that hold the lights in place are defective...appears to have broken off. Would not purchase this again.

It is plastic that has long prongs that go into the ground. It connects very well to each piece and very easy which is an excellent point. The solar works good even in offcast weather and not much sun. I was installing this into gravel and when you are going alongside a gravel driveway, the gravel goes deep so you do need to dig out and refill part of the area as you don't want to break the plastic prongs otherwise it might not sit securely. I wish it had more of the solare sections as in the picture it looks like they are every 3rd in the lighting. I had to do mine every 7th one to get it to work right in the spacing between the solar units. All in all, I like it as it really looks nice but the price is a bit high for this product and hopefully no delivery truck will back up or drive over it as then I won't know how it will last.

I was able to define two areas around trees in my backyard. The LED lights add a nice touch. Very easy to install--click together and push into ground. I may get more and put them around the patio. I am now planting "stepables" that will grow over the "bricks" so they will look even more natural. This was a good purchase, and they arrived very quickly.

This review is from: Argee RG840S Let's Light It 40-Foot Decorative Plastic Brick Edging with 6 Built-In Solar Lights, Terra Cotta (Lawn & Patio)
I received my 40' set of plastic bricks with the 5 solar lights included. They were easy to install and look very good, for plastic bricks.Unfortunately the 1st day after installation and now for 2 weeks since, one of the lights fails to come on at dark. I have written an email to the company asking them what should I do and as most companies like this,I doubt I will get a response and if I surprisingly do, it will not be a genuine sincere resolve to my problem. I will update as soon as I hear anything from Argee, if I do. Other than the defective light, the bricks do look good but are very expensive. UPDATE: 02/13/12 I sent an email to Argee on 02/12/12 and was surprised at the fast response I got today. The company was happy that I liked my "bricks" but was disappointed that one of the lighted units failed to work. They were going to send me a replacement immediately. Now that is excellent customer service!!!!! UPDATE: 03/05/12 Revision to "excellent customer service". After 2 emails, NO replacement lighted brick as promised :-( UPDATE: 04/01/12 I got my replacement as promised and the lights are working and the bricks look great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this edging for a walk way leading to the pool. My back yard is large and I needed to add additional lighting to the area. I received an advertisement for the product through e-mail. Living in Canada, I didn't quite know what to expect of this product because of the harsher weather that we have here. The finished product looks great and I just love the product. For the amount of edging that I purchased I do find it a little pricey but I just love the product and I intend to buy more next year. A definite winner.
