From School Library Journal
ea. vol: 127p. illus. maps. photogs. reprods. chron. index. (Enchantment of the World Series). CIP. Childrens. Nov. 1985. PLB $14.95. Grade 4-6 Although uneven in writing style, both of these books will be popular with students. The first delight is the scores of color photographs, even though some are out of focus. The second treasure is the complete yet concise Mini-facts/Chronology/Important People section at the end, summarizing the textgeography, history, politics, society, the arts. Kenya is the better of the two; Argentina suffers from occasional oversimplification and use of vague adjectives. Similar in format to the "Enchantment of Africa" series (Childrens) but with color photos, these titles are slightly more superficial, but much more attractive, than Lippincott's "Portraits of the Nations" series.
