Looks great, but is a piece garbage.,
This review is from: Argington Fuji Toy Box - White (Baby Product)
I have never written an amazon review before, nothing has ever driven me to write one, but the crapiness of this toy box and the overall crappiness of the 4 pieces of Argington furniture that I own for my children has brought me here today.
The Fuji Toy box looks great, the style is outstanding, but that is the only positive thing about it. I purchased this item two years ago and the day it arrived it was already broken. The lid was not properly attached to the backboard of the box and would have definitely hurt my child if not maimed her. Plus, there were very sharp wood screws sticking out of the detached board, it was useless and dangerous. I live in New York City and argington shipped it from Brooklyn so I can't let them get away with the excuse of shipping issues. Then, when I contacted them to fix it or replace it (my preference) it took nearly a week for them to get back to me. When they finally did get back to me they sent out a handyman, so I had to open my home to a strange man for over an hour and take time out of my day to deal with this. His only solution was to screw two new wood screws into the backboard because, he said, the screws they had used barely touched the backboard. HUGE problem. So this helped for a while, but then the hinge that keeps the lid open began to fail, the screws fell out, I put them back, they fell out, I put them back, and so on and so on. This caused the top to not fit into the groove and thus never closed properly anymore. Then today, the entire top fell off, onto my child, the secondary screws failed, the original screws failed and the hinge failed and the piece of crap was sitting there with exposed, sharp wood screws, on top of my daughter. This is a seriously dangerous situation, luckily I was there to get her out, but there was no way I could have imagined that this would fall off like this in one huge piece and there was nothing I could do, short of throwing it out to stop this from happening. This is a very expensive toy box and it is sold by high end boutiques and supposed to made and designed by parents who are architects, well, they need an engineer and a carpenter to work over these designs. I also own the Babylon high chair which is absolutely horrible, the paint peeled off the tray after a few weeks and the feet never fit right, it is loose and does not clean easily, I just hate it. And we have the Fundy play table and bench for my older daughter which we purchased maybe 4 years ago and it falls apart weekly and the chair actually had one of the screws poke through the seat. We also have cushions for these items and none of them fit correctly and absolutely do not wash well, I cannot get food or washable paint off the cushions, it is insane. In conclusion, do not buy anything from this company because they don't care about quality, they only care about aesthetics and that only extends to the showroom floor or internet page, because in practice, even the aesthetics fail.

Other Problems with Argington Products,
This review is from: Argington Fuji Toy Box - White (Baby Product)
I've got to echo what I'm seeing here. We bought three $900 Argington wardrobes, and although the design is attractive and the wood is nice, putting them together makes Ikea pieces look easy. And if you follow the poorly written instructions correct, you're in trouble -- the doors will not align properly.
My advice -- buy elsewhere. The worst thing you can do is expect a beautiful piece, only to find that once it's been built it looks shabby because of alignment issues. Plus, after reaching out to their customer service 5+ times, they never were able to assist me, although they kept indicating they would reach out to me. They must be swamped with other complaints... 2115|R39WNKH2E22DVW;2115|R3D46GFLZVAV2;
