I used to watch tv shows amd movies on my PC, now I watch them on my 46" with the family. Plays all audio and video formats except mp4, only encountered that problem once out of 564 other movies.

Video quality: 8

Audio: 10

Special note: Use the HDMI

Very portable too!

I bought this box mainly for movie/music/Bluray backup. However, it seems HDMI not working correctly.

Pros:

1. Cheap and tiny

Cons:

1. No bottom on the body except power - All operations need to be done via remote control. If you lost/break the remote control, then this will end up as a normal USB external hard drive.

2. Video setup is not straightforward. I have a AV receiver with HDMI. I need to keep blindly press ">>" + "menu" til I can see from the screen (changing video setting will make screen full with noise).

3. Plasitic parts are in low quality and fragile.

4. The component/composite cables in the box are quite uniqe (3-to-1 connection) and not in good quality, so you can not even upgrade to monster cables. (I have solid HDMI cable but HDMI port on this box doesn't seem working!)

5. This only supports 720p/1080i but not true HD 1080p. (Not sure if any hard drive box support 1080p)

6. It does not support Apple m4a format. So music converted by iTune needs to be converted to mp3/mp4 format.
