Review of early 90's Asia music, June 22, 2009

I had high expectations of the Asia albums Aqua and Aria when purchasing them. I thought they might at least sound like the album Astra, which I enjoyed. After a listen of each CD I realized they did not sound at all like the popular Asia we all knew and loved in the 80's. But I was not sure if the music was up to my standards, so I listened again with fresh ears a few more times. Now I am happy to report that these albums are decent quality in their own right--they are written somewhat well and have decent musical quality to them (good arrangements). Basically good progressive rock that I plan to keep in my collection for a while. Prospective buyers should just keep in mind that these albums are good and are mellow but sound like another band.
