Not for those with wide feet,

These boots are well-made and seem like they'd be very durable. We ordered in a 5E width to accomodate my husband's extra-wide feet, and... while the lower part of the boot is indeed that wide, the throat of the boot is too narrow for him to get his foot inside at all!!
They'd work if they had a zipper from the opening all the way down to the sole...

I wanted to provide this review to save others from agonizing over the decision (as I did). Order with confidence.
I was skeptical to buy a product sight unseen with no reviews, but I took a chance and I'm glad I did. The construction is perfect (as with all Ariat products I have seen). These boots are pretty large, so I would recomend ordering the same size you would wear in tennis shoes. When wearing these boots it is VERY important to wear good quality and TALL merino wool socks (or similar) to prevent chaffing of your calf. They also seem like they will last a long time because they have a soft sole for comfort but a hard outer sole to provide a long lasting tread. I was also very impressed with Amazon for fast shipping and great customer service (I called a representative and they were very polite and took care of my issue). |
