Like other reviewers have mentioned, this Fatbaby II does have a snugger fit than the original Fatbaby. I tried both and found the heelbox in the original Fatbaby too wide, but loved the fit of the Fatbaby II. Great, sturdy, comfy boots. Order a leather/suede treatment with the boots as you will want to waterproof them before wearing them in wet weather.

I love the Fatbaby boots and this pair is no exception. They are actually better than my other pair because it looks like Ariat finally figured out that their pull strap stitching causes skin irritation and added a fabric covering. I love the insoles because they are cushy and very comfortable to walk on. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they are a bit tight when you first get them, as others have mentioned. Also, this particular pair has defective stitching on sole of the right boot, which mars the appearance. I didn't want to bother to send them back, but it's a bit bothersome. Other than that these are great boots. They break in very quickly and are extremely comfortable to stand in for long periods or for walking in. I recommend them.

These boots (purchased locally in the black/orchid combo) are absolutely the most comfortable pair I've ever owned. Supple, well-supported, nicely-cushioned, these boots can be worn for day after day in comfort. They're really cute, too, something I wouldn't hesitate to wear out and about or around the house.

This is my third pair of Ariats. With a little care, they'll last practically forever and I know from experience I'll reach for them often.

I also like the fact that this particular style sole is stirrup friendly AND suitable for walking. It's lovely to know those two activities aren't mutually exclusive.

Lovely sturdy pair of boots. I tried these in in California recently, and regetted not buying them once I got home to the UK, so was happy to be able to order them on line. I work as a psychiatric nurse, in a non-uniform rehabilitation unit,and these boots are great, as my feet don't get too hot indoors, stay nice and cosy if I have to run any errands, and enable me to cycle to work in any weather or season, and enable me to arrive looking quite presentable (with the help of some waterproof clothing), even if I hit some showers and puddles on the way in at 6.00 am!

Great boots. Fit a bit looser than my other pair of Fat Baby's but easily fixed by wearing two pairs of dress socks, instead of one.

I really loved how this boot looks but I have a bit of a wide foot and I was unsure if these boots would be comfortable in a B width. Well I was so surprised how comfortable they are right out of the box, no break in time needed, rugged and very good looking, they have become my favorite everyday boot.

And not only are they comfortable, they look pretty good too. I got the black ones and they go with everything. I wear them everywhere. Your feet will thank you if you get these.

I wanted to love these boots but sadly, I don't and I'm returning them. They're very well made. It's just that the style is not as flattering in person. They are pretty wide in the toe and I thought they'd be a little more tapered. I didn't expect them to be pointed like traditional western boots--I knew they were round, but I just expected more tapered. I thought they'd be cute with dresses but they're too cloddy.

I LOVE my Ariat Fatbaby ll boots so much that I ordered the Ariat Fatbaby ll belt, too. I love comfortable feet, and these boots couldn't be any more comfortable. I ordered a 1/2 size larger and thought they were a little loose at first, but the more I wear them the more I think they are a perfect fit!

I purchased these boots because friends told me how comfortable they are and they were right. Great arch supports inside and fit perfect!!! I will be sure to recommend these boots to others. You will not be disappointed in this purchase. Beautiful colored stitching and high quality leather.
