He's back with his second, post-Superdrag solo release! It marks a stylistic turnaround from the quieter, pop influence of his first album to a heavier rock sound reminiscent of Superdrag and the Foo Fighters, who coincidentally own the studio that the album was recorded in. "A sonic blast of distorted guitars smoked my speakers the first time I put this disc in my car stereo. I cranked it! You can hear the Foo Fighters influence all over this! I close my eyes and he sounds a lot like Dave Grohl!" GREAT!!

After listening to Industry Giants for awhile now, I thought i would give Johns 2nd solo release a try. I will say this: Arigato! ranks right up there with some of my favorite Superdrag albums ( this is coming from someone that has ALL the rare-hard to find stuff from these guys, including the "Johnny Flame" Beatles covers ). John is just an amazing song writer, and he proves it again here. This disc has a strong Foo Fighters / Superdrag (In the valley of dying stars-era) vibe right from the start. Drummer Yogie Watts lays down solid Dave Grohl-ish grooves from start to finish,and is quickly becoming another favorite drummer of mine. With all of that said, BUY THIS ALBUM! This is a better album than Industry Giants, plain and simple. If your a fan of the Powers / Harrison era Superdrag, you will love this.
