The Aris Allen Mary Janes also feature suede soles that are flexible enough to help you feel the floor. We've found - by trying these on countless dancers - that these fit pretty much true to size - but sometimes they said they needed a half size larger than they would normally wear (so if you wear two different sizes then you'll probably fit the larger of the two). Because these have a strap they will fit a variety of widths.

Do not buy these shoes unless you are only looking for something to wear for a only few performances. Though the bottoms are made of suede, they forget to mention that the rest of the shoe is made of CHEAP plastic FAKE leather. I feel so stupid for not checking into that detail before buying these shoes. They are cute as a button, but were stiff and took a long time to break in and get comfortable. After that painful break-in period, they were nice for maybe three months and then the fake leather began to degrade and fall apart.

If you need a cute mary jane with suede bottoms, buy any regular pair and use some super glue to attach DIY suede bottoms.

These shoes are great for dancing because they have suede on the bottom so you can just slide across the floor.
