Arise My Love: The Very Best of Newsong

I heard "Cant keep a Good Man Down" on the radio once and it was stuck in my head for weeks i had to go out and get the CD. And i found out that from the first song, "Can't Keep a Good Man Down" to the last, "Arise My Love" you can't help but want to listen and sing along. I can now sing along at any moment, and pick up a song half way through. Mind you, its always in the boombox. The songs on this CD just make you happy to be a Christian, more than it being one does already. If your church doesn't have a contemporary service the CD might be odd for you at first, to hear songs that relate to God in your octave. If I was told i could have on CD for the rest of my life this would be it. And that's over anything else a 16 year old might listen too.

This is another song I just HAD to have, Newsong's "You Can't Keep a Good Man Down". The song is about Jesus and how you can stick your head in the sand and pretend it's not true, but that when they hung up Jesus on the cross by his hands and his feet and they put him in the ground, three days later every body found out that you can't keep a good man down. What a wonderful, wonderful statement of love for our Lord. This is the first song on the "Arise My Love...Best of Newsong" CD. The second song is just as great "Jesus to the World". We need to be lambs that roar, eagles that soar, we need to be wrong, we need to be right, we need to be Jesus to the world... Oh, I just cried during this song because it was so beautiful. It proved to me that you can be wrong or right, weak or strong, and still be like Jesus was.

All the other songs on the CD were a collection of former albums, but it is a great, great collection, and everyone who is a Christian should own this wonderful CD.

Dissapointed you don't have Arise My Love for listening to because that's why I bought the CD.It's a very moving, spiritual song that let's you feel as God must have felt on that special day. Through buying it though I found I liked most of their songs which is unusul for me. Their words have a lot of meaning. I belong to our church contemporary Praise Team and have been trying to find the sheet music for Arise My Love or the book for this CD but can't. Could someome help?

I bought this CD for one song: Can't Keep A Good Man Down. I heard the song on the radio several times and I liked the message for my children. I enjoy the ENTIRE CD! The messages in the music is clear and to the point. My family will replay this one over and over. Excellent!

I saw Newsong in concert last year shortly after this CD had been released...I think the song that is very powerful is the title song "Arise My Love", they are all very talented, have great voices and put on a great show.

This the most incredible cd that I have ever hear.The emotion put into the vocals and the touching songs are unbelievable. These guys have to be the most talented group in any kind of music today. You will agree with Jesus to the World, sing along with Miracles, cry with This One's With Me, and you will be strongly moved by Arise My Love. An incredible cd that everyone should own. Love it!

This CD is so wonderful! The song 'Jesus to the World' makes you think about your life and what you should be doing as Christians to bring Jesus to the streets. The CD as a whole is GREAT! I recommend it to everyone and believe that you will find yourself listening to it over and over...

When I was 7, my dad used to own this on cassette. I remember sitting in the car and playing songs like Can't Keep A Good Man Down, My Heart's Already There, Love Revolution, and All Around the World, over and over again. That's probably one of the best memories I have of when I was younger. We were recently driving around, 8 years later, and heard some of the songs on the radio. My dad had lost the cassette, but asked me to try and find out what the CD was called. It took me a few hours, but finally I did. We're going to go and buy it again, so we can listen to all these awesome songs some more =)

Our church's drama team and puppet team have used songs from NewSong many times in our programs. Their songs have great messages and get a lot of creative juices flowing. If you have a Christian drama team or puppet team, you need to add this CD to your collection!

Arise My Love is a great cd. I have every album buy NewSong (1982-Present) and love them all. Russ Lee and Billy Goodwin are great vocalists and Eddie carswell is a great songwriter.
