3.0 out of 5 stars AZ Highways directions that might get you near where you want to go
I'll start by saying that anyone that has tried to follow Arizona Highways directions know that they have to use their imagination at some point so why should the AZ Highways book be any different? Granted you don't want everyone trampling over these beautiful areas on a regular basis, but it would be nice to be able to find a few spots. It seems that they publish easy...

3.0 out of 5 stars AZ Highways directions that might get you near where you want to go, July 1, 2010

This review is from: Arizona Hiking: Urban Trails, Easy Paths & Overnight Treks (Paperback)
It seems that they publish easy directions to heavily accessed areas and vague directions to the really good ones. ...Or they're taking pictures somewhere else nearby. I do like how they start off with camping/hiking ethics and then continue with breaking down the hikes into levels of difficulty (ie: urban, family, overnight...). The pictures are beautiful as AZ Highways pictures always are and some of the hikes are definitely worth the time.

1.0 out of 5 stars worthless, May 25, 2007

This review is from: Arizona Hiking: Urban Trails, Easy Paths & Overnight Treks (Paperback)
Instead of maps and detailed directions, this book contains useless glossy photographs and narrative.
