From the Publisher

The tumbleweed is part of the native flora of the American west. A famous shoot-out occurred at the OK Corral in Tombstone, Arizona. Wild pigs called Javelina roam the southwestern deserts. The chimichanga came from Mexico. Cotton is Arizona’s top commercial crop. Antelope can be found in remote parts of Arizona. What is wrong with each of these statements? They are all false. This book contains hundreds of other false beliefs and misconceptions about Arizona and the American southwest. Written in a light, easy-to-read style, every page of this unique book contains surprising facts about this region.

This review is from: Arizona Myths, Fallacies and Misconceptions (Paperback)
This book provides a diverse collection of information about Arizona and it's commonly held myths and fallacies. As an Arizona native I was amazed at the number of misbeliefs I had accumulated over the years. The author sets the record straight in a reading style that is clear and concise yet entertaining. I highly recommend this book for Arizona newcomers and those who want to be informed residents of the state.

All favorable accolades apply to this delightfuly informative work. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Being a native Arizonan and having wandered all over this beautiful state studying the flora and fauna, I felt uniquely qualified to challenge several of the assertions in the book. To my surprise, I found that the book was correct in every instance. Kudos to you for your thorough research, Mr. Neuner. I shall share this little treasure with others who require enlightenment.
