2.0 out of 5 stars Fahgetabowdit, February 23, 2007
This review is from: Arizona Off the Beaten Path, 6th (Off the Beaten Path Series) (Paperback)
Based on the 5th edition's cover artwork, a beautiful slot canyon, and the suggestive title, "Off the Beaten Path", I bought this dog. Nope it's not a guide to secret natural wonders nor a hiking guide, but a cutesy, fluffy guide to hipper parts of the state. Particularly useless was the tip to the DASH, Phoenix's Downtown Area SHuttle, or the Dinnerware Gallery. Not a slot canyon in the book. Yawn.

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless Travel Guide, July 2, 2008
This review is from: Arizona Off the Beaten Path, 6th (Off the Beaten Path Series) (Paperback)
I bought this guide before going back to Tucson for a 2nd visit, thinking it might tell me something I hadn't found in Frommer's or Fodor's. It was a waste of money. The few things that were really "off the beaten track" no longer existed or perhaps never had existed.
