Dr. Jeremy Rowe has written a book that will appeal to lovers of the Southwest and to postcard collectors. It includes "general postcard history, a brief background of Arizona's 'golden age' of postcards, a few stories that have emerged about several groups of postcard images, and dating and process information" and is illustrated with an extensive portfolio of postcards that depict events and places in Arizona's history. About the Author

Jeremy Rowe has collected and researched 19th and early 20th century photography for 25 years. His interest in cased images and stereographs led to his first book, Photographers in Arizona 1850 1920: A History and Directory. About 10 years ago his interest extended to photographic postcards and their documentation of the amazing era of the transition of Arizona from territory to statehood. Dr. Rowe has worked in information technology and computing research and planning at Arizona State University for more than 25 years while he has built his collection. Currently he is Associate Director of the School of Computing and Informatics and of the Institute for Computing, Information Sciences and Engineering. He has been actively involved in preservation, analysis and use of historic materials as well as 3-Dimensional modeling and visualization of natural phenomena and digital libraries. Mr. Rowe has mounted numerous exhibitions of historical images at venues throughout the state, and has consulted on projects including the American Memory project for the Library of Congress. He has lectured and consulted for the Arizona Historical Society, Mesa Southwest Museum, Sharlot Hall Museum, the Phoenix Art Museum, Heard Museum, Arizona Humanities Council, Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, University of Arizona, and Northern Arizona Museum.
