I am avid lover of Arizona folklore and ledgends, the author covers them beautifuly! Light hearted, tounge and cheek but with some great history of ledgends and lore as well as ghosts. This book is great if you love Tucson and the areas close by, many of these places you can visit and search out on your own for more information. An enjoyable read, fun and easy to read and a great gift for someone who loves Arizona and it's rich history, ledgends and ghost lore.

3.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining, But Historically Inaccurate, November 21, 2005
This review is from: Arizona Twilight Tales: Good Ghosts, Evil Spirits & Blue Ladies (Paperback)
Jane Eppinga has written a book that is fun and entertaining. Sadly, some of the history recorded in this book is not exactly accurate. As someone who has spent a great deal of time reseaching Arizona History, I found that to be disappointing.

For instance, the author states that the night before the famous shootout near the OK Corral, the Clantons, the McLaurys, Johnny Behan and the Earps were all in the Birdcage Theater, sitting at opposite ends. Great story, but there is not a grain of historical fact in it! In reality, the Birdcage Theater opened its doors for the first time in late December, 1881, a full two months after the famous shootout. By that time Tom and Frank McLaury and Billy Clanton were dead and buried! This is just one of several historical errors that I have found in the book.

Nonetheless the book is entertaining, and would be a great read on a cold winter's night. But take the all 'history' in this book with a big grain of salt.
