I like it for the most part but the thing with it is that it goes thru batteries like water. 1 set of batteries may last a few days and as it is sucking power the reception to whatever radio you use gets weak. Also, I found out that while using the transmitter, your player has to be turned down or else it will overdrive the transmitter and the sound will be poor. You pretty much have to search for the balance between your transmitter and radio in order to get quality sound between the them.

This little device was just what we were looking for! It transmits the signal very clearly. Our only complaint: It goes through batteries faster than we had hoped. It will be better for use in the car, on short road trips, than in the house for all-day use.

Works Well,
This review is from: Arkon SF250 Digital SoundFeeder Wireless FM Transmitter (Electronics)
This product works well. However it does not have nearly the 30 foot range it claims to have. It is more like 2 feet. It also has the limited 8 channels, in large cities it can be hard to find a station that works. Despite this, in stations that just come in as distorted static, the product is strong enough to over come this and give a resonable signal. Not quite as clear as a tape adapter. It works well, has a nice sleek design, and easy to travel with. Good buy for the price, however a strong model would be advised.

I used this product for my PSP in order to watch movies in the car. It worked good enough, but at certain points in our drive we couldn't find a decent station to broadcast and there was some static here and there. Also, they could have made the cord a little longer (it's only 6"). That being said, we were able to watch an entire movie without serious complaints. The battery life is good as well, it runs on 2 AA's.
But for my IPod I use the Monster ICar Play. This is a great product that also charges your IPod simultaneously. But the ICar will run you about 80 dollars. And the connection is strictly to an IPod. So if you don't want to shell out the big bucks, the Arkon SoundFeeder is a good alternative.

I bought this to go with my Zen Micro. No problems. I had thought I would see loss of function here in the heat of Iraq, but so far, so good.
There is an unfortunate crowding of radio stations around the eighty eight and one hundred seven range, but I still manage.

GREAT LITTLE ITEM!!,

This fm transmitter is small, lightweight, compact, and works great!! Each of the 8 fm radio stations this transmitter uses come in as clear broadcasts so I was skeptical about how well it would work for me. I am pleasantly surprised. I get great reception. Once in a while when out of area I will have to change stations, otherwise no problem. At first I was looking for a static broadcast and frustrated at not finding one, I phoned customer support. They were very friendly and courteous. The wait was just a couple of minutes. Definitely buy this one!!

The battery compartment on my unit was very difficult to open, one of the springs on the battery terminals broke the second time the batteres were replaced, in the Philadelphia area it was almost impossible to find a channel among the 8 available that gave decent sound quality without a lot of interference, could only get good sound quality in the boonies, and even then it drifted in and out.

Poor Quality - Don't Buy It,

Audio Performance was considerably worse than AM radio, sound is muffled and full of static even though the unit features PLL (phased lock loop) tuning to the preset fequencies.

I just received this item in the mail. I chose it specifically because everything said it took AA batteries. But now it says on the back of the package that it takes 2 AAA batteries. Disappointed and Confused.
