Velvet curtains can add a look of luxury as well as a sense of warmth and comfort to a room. Made of 100 percent cotton velvet, these two panels are tailored with a three-inch hem, sewn edges, and a three-inch pole sleeve topped by a two-inch flange. The panels are unlined, which lightens the weight and won't completely darken a room.

Measuring a total of 80 inches wide and 63 inches in length, the curtains handsomely fit a window that measures between three and four feet in width. The general rule of thumb is that the combined width of curtain panels should equal twice the width of the window frame.
