Works Great,
This review is from: Arm and Hammer Multi-Cat Strength Clumping Cat Litter (Misc.)
I have no clue what is wrong with the other reviewers, but I have been using this stuff for awhile and it works great. Clumps never fall apart, my cat does not smell like the litter box, and the smell is not horrible. It smells like any other litter, to be honest. I use Arm & Hammer's Cat Litter deodorizer to help with that normal cat litter smell. I have been using that for a long time as well, before I started using Arm & Hammer's litter.
I guess it takes a special person to properly scoop litter, because these other reviewers describe problems I have never had. Only thing I might say is the smell, but it's not a gross smell, it's just that normal cat litter smell that comes with every other brand I have used (Tidy Scoop, Fresh Scent).

The best cat litter ever!!,

This is great stuff. Unfortunately, it's not flushable but since it doesn't form as large of clumps, you needn't change it as often as most brands, and it really does kill the odors. We(me & my two felines) use it with the Omega Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box, Large, Green and Beige and the combo works great. My last two brands, Feline Pine Clumping litter and WheatScoop got their butts kicked by this. Not to mention the fact that this is WAY cheaper! Happy cats, happy me

Stinks up my whole house! Huge waste of money!,
This review is from: Arm and Hammer Multi-Cat Strength Clumping Cat Litter (Misc.)
This was the first time I ever purchased clumping cat litter, and I chose the Arm & Hammer brand because I thought of the odor control of baking soda - WRONG!
First of all, the "clumps" disintegrate before I can get them out of the litter box. The result is just a big mess, with most of the waste left sprinkled everywhere. Also, even when I attempt to remove these messy so-called clumps immediately, the litter box smells horribly. No matter how vigilant I am, I have to completely dump the litter out and re-fill the litter box every day or it makes my whole house smell like a litter box that hasn't been cleaned for a week. And what's even worse, my poor cat began to carry that dirty litter box stench with her as well. She stank so bad that I couldn't let her sleep on my bed or any of my furniture, and she was confused. I felt so guilty because it wasn't her fault but my gosh, the smell was awful. I would suggest that no one waste their money on this product. I wish there were an option to give NO stars because that's what this litter deserves. I decided to go back to plain old fashioned clay litter. My cat and I like it just fine!

Chemical scent is worse than a dirty cat box,
This review is from: Arm and Hammer Multi-Cat Strength Clumping Cat Litter (Misc.)
This is the first time we've used the multi-cat variety of Arm and Hammer litter and will be the last. Generally, our home doesn't have that 'cats live here' smell. Unfortunately, this fresh-poured litter has a chemical odor that is more off-putting than the dirty box. I'm grateful our cats are still using the box, but I won't put either of our noses through having to use this litter.
I strongly recommend the regular varieties of the Arm and Hammer litters. They do a lot to combat odor and don't make a lot of dust in the household. They're easily scooped too. Rebecca Kyle, August 2009

The Worst I've Used,
By
This review is from: Arm and Hammer Multi-Cat Strength Clumping Cat Litter (Misc.)
Arm and Hammer Multi-Cat Strength Clumping Cat Litteris definitely the worst Arm and Hammer cat litter I've used. While I wasn't impressed with the colour changing crystals of Arm and Hammer Odor Alert, it was still a million times better than the multicat formula. And Arm and Hammer's Super Scoop Litter pretty much blows the others out of the water.
I bought the multicat formula shortly before I left for my trip. The sitters used up the rest of the Super Scoop Litter and I was shocked at just how bad my litter box smelled when I came home. It had been changed every day but still smelled horribly like ammonia which I assume it from the cat urine. I wish I had a mask when changing the litter box, it's so bad. I've enver felt that way before and I had to take a breather before I could finish the job. It's really overpowering. And, really, if a kitty litter meant for multiple cats doesn't do anything about odor, what good is it (even if it is decently priced)? I mean, isn't that the purpose of a cat little like Arm and Hammer's Multicat Litter - to deal with the odor of multiple cats using the box? I am surprised there are any positive reviews for this on Amazon. Surely these people cannot be using the same product! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. |
