This may be fine if you are able to tolerate strong (and I do mean STRONG!) perfumes in your home. I wish I had been able to sniff test in the store, but of course that is not possible; one must open the container, which means the store can't sell it to anyone else afterward.

At least it wasn't expensive. I'd hate to think I had paid dearly for the headache it's given me, and I do hope the stink dissipates soon because a hotel room for the night WOULD be expensive.

This MIGHT be an odor eliminator, but you cannot tell because the odor it creates is so strong! It is making our throats prickle. It is awful. And, as it says, it is "Long Lasting" so you are stuck with the strong perfume.

smells great... to those guys that gave 1 star, you probably used too much. be smart about how much you use and the size of the area in which you are using the product.

The vacuum bag on my Hoover is large and lasts a long time. That's good because the replacement bags are expensive, but bad because after a month or so the bag begins to smell which means while vacuuming I endure the stench of the vacuum bag escaping and the sound of Mrs. Spudman complaining about the stinky vacuum cleaner.

Rather than do a premature evacuation of the bag, I use Arm & Hammer Odor Eliminator as a stopgap measure. I learned quickly that the Odor Eliminator has a very powerful aroma of its own, so one should use this product in moderation. Don't shake it over an entire carpet! I use just enough to mask the vacuum cleaner bag smell, a remedy that keeps working for quite a few days after.

One thing that's nice is that the Arm & Hammer's consistency is not powdery, but more of a grainy, sandy nature. This is good because a powdery product tends to clog up the vacuum bag, necessitating a change.

Used in moderation, this product will do what you want it to do. Used to excess it will drive you out of the house.

The smell after using this is horrible. I vacuumed multiple times and put a new bag in the vacuum after the initial run but the smell would not go away. It gave me headaches and I had trouble sleeping. After two days I hired a professional carpet cleaner to get rid of it. I can't believe they even make this product.

I really like the generic flowery smell. It states on the packaging "EXTRA STRENGTH" so that should serve as a warning that the smell, which you are paying for is strong, but it is not overpowering IMO. I really like this one and will continue to use it. Oh, did I mention it is inexpensive and you can forgo buying air freshener if you wish.

Just sprinkle it on the carpet & furniture and let it sit there for 15 minutes and then vacuum it up. Your pet oder will be gone. Make sure you leave it sit for 15 minutes and use it 2 or 3 times a week. If you do this, it controls the pet oder.

This product IS really strong but only if you use a crazy amount. The first time I used it I put way too much down and I couldn't breathe when I was in that room.... Every time after that I used a small amount and its not overpowering. I feel that everything smells really fresh and the carpet looks nice and clean. I love this stuff.

Arm and Hammer carpet deodorizer does it for me. I put some on my carpet, and it absorbs odors without being too perfumey. My biggest use, however, is for the toilet bowl. Used once a day, sprinkled away from the water, and this deodorizer is a great baking soda alternative to those blue chemical dyes used in the bowl or tank. Environmentally friendly, my whole house, including the bathroom, stays smelling fresh. Used in sparing amounts, one container lasts me about two months.
