A great fun read....scary premise because it's so plausible...sorry about the sleep you'll lose because you can't put it down!

Bold and absolutely pitch-perfect, Thompson's narrative moves with fierceness that is part engine and part caboose. He takes no prisoners and leaves no loose ends. He is the real McCoy. As for the watchers and tellers of the world--Thompson will stand as a master observer and storyteller...

I was lucky to receive a preview copy of this fun, fast paced, enjoyable vacation read. I enjoyed this book so much that it took me less than 24 hours to read, as I had to find out what was going to happen next. Fans of John Grisham's novels will definitely enjoy the characters and all of the twists and turns in The Armageddon Conspiracy.

I am already eagerly awaiting John Thompson's next book. The rumor is that it will be a sequel to this one. I sense we may have found a worthy successor to Jason Bourne. ENJOY!

If you are a fan of intrigue and conspiracy then you have found yourself the best book of the year. I loved the writing style: fast paced, with a brilliantly crafted narrative that instantly gives you the creeping sense that something very sinister is afoot! This political thriller really hits the ground running with a well-oiled story that keeps your heart thumping with anticipation wondering who dunnit? This is the type of novel you want to read on a sandy beach or stuck in the airport, the story has so many true-to-life plots twists that it's easy to forget you are reading a work of fiction.

I can't wait for book two!

John Grisham is about to take a back seat in the "suspense with intelligence" category! John Thompson's novel is compelling - in great part because he writes with a mastery of complicated political and religious issues and with a "voice" that is totally real and accessible. There is nothing staged or manipulative about the plot; in fact, that is probably what makes the book so engrossing and frightening. At times, I expected to turn on the news and hear that it was all real. Be prepared to block off some time, because once you begin to read ARMAGEDDON CONSPIRACY,you will be unable to focus on anything other than finding out how it all ends.

THIS IS A FAST MOVING, GRIPPING READ. GREAT BACKGROUND RESEARCH ON CULT AND TRUE BELIEVERS. AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SEQUEL.

A great thriller that you can't put down. Subject matter is very relevant in today's environment in more ways than one. What a wonderful first novel from a brilliant writer. Can't wait for the sequel.

This is a very well done thriller. Well written and hard to put down. There are lots of levels to the story and is really in tune with the times.

My wife kept urging me to go to sleep, but I couldn't stop reading this gripping book. The all-too-plausible plot combines credibility with pins-and-needles suspense. I loved the characters, and found myself immersed in their struggles. The writing just moves you along in a tight, suspenseful way, with every twist and turn bringing surprise and tension. I can't wait to see the movie, and just wish Bruce Willis were young enough to play Brent Lucas! If you're looking for a book that will grab you, transport you to a world of fiction, but make you think of the consequences if this fiction ever turns into reality, rush to read this great work.

Armageddon Conspiracy, a new novel by John Thompson, a new writer delivers a very moving and tightly constructed story. For pure enjoyment this book is spectacular, but there is a deeper side to this story that plays back and forth in the territory of current events. The unbelievable and preposterous world present in this book is a shadow of events in the era when politics, business and religion come together. (I plan to have my high school senior English class read the book.) The characters are very well developed and the plot moves one along at a rapid race. The writing is superb.
