Religious war, May 20, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Armageddon Crazy (Mass Market Paperback)
Image America with a fanatical religious zealot as the President; where confessionals can be found on street corners, taping people recounting their sins; where the police are outranked by deacons. This is the America of "The Armageddon Crazy."
This was the first book by Mick Farren I read, and I was captivated by it. It was an example of ultimate power corrupting ultimately a body considered uncorruptable: the church. To see how far the religious fall is quite amazing.
"The Armageddon Crazy" is not an attack on Catholicism. For lack of a better word, it is a parallel world where something MIGHT happen, if certain circumstances are followed through.
