I really did my research to find a suitable armband to hold my iphone 4 while running. I read some mixed reviews on this armband and some said the phone just doesn't fit, and some said the armband itself is small. In my experience with the band (I've had it and have been using it for about a month now) sure, it's a little snug on the phone and it takes a little effort to get it in and out BUT, I know it's safe and not going to pop out! Very tiny inconvenience. Also, the armband fits fine for me. My arm is just a little under 11" around -I guess I'm considered "small"... Okay, the band will probably be too small on men. Women who wear a small/medium should be fine.
I love the ability to control the screen through the band's clear plastic cover, and the little velcro piece to the side is great for wrapping the headphone cord so it isn't flapping in my face! The one major thing I was looking for in an armband was it being snug enough to not bounce on my arm. This lays nice and flat -sometimes forget I'm even wearing it! :)

I wanted a case that would allow me to keep my iPhone 4S in its Incipio NGP case, while still providing access to the phone's functionality. The Tune belt does this well. My phone/case fit in it snugly but comfortably, and I can access the touch screen and feel/manipulate the side controls (volume) through the neoprene. The tab that allows you to bundle unneeded earphone cord is also a nice feature. My arm is about 17"; the band fits around my bicep without the extension....I have about two-three inches of strap secured to the velcro. This case was exactly what I wanted.

I ordered this sport armband after reading other positive reviews, hoping I would like the armband just as much. I am a pretty active person and decided I would like to have my new iPhone 4S to listen to music instead of my ipod. I run and lift weights and do other cardio activities daily, and wanted something that would protect my iPhone from sweat (as I sweat heavily during some of my workouts), and keep it from falling out, and not constrict my biceps when wearing it while lifting weights.

Needless to say, it has fulfilled my wish list quite well. I have run with it so far, lifted weights, jump roped, even wore it mountain biking this weekend, not to listen to music but just to have it handy. Surprisingly it is quite comfortable and stays in place without moving up and down with all the jumping and sprinting, and other activities I do. It has protected my iPhone from sweat, the armband itself was quite wet during my last workout, but my iPhone stayed nice and dry. The other concern I had was it being too tight on my biceps when doing exercises like pull ups or bicep curls, etc. My former band I used for my iPod always constricted my arm and I eventually stopped wearing it when lifting and doing upper body exercises. The Sport Armband fits snug, but does not cut off my circulation at all, and stays in place without feeling too tight even during pull ups. I wasn't expecting that, so it was a nice perk. Last but not least, I have an iLuv hard case iLuv Regatta Dual Layer Case for iPhone 4S (Pink/Yellow) for my phone, and don't have to take the case off to make it fit. In fact, I think the case is what helps it fit snug, so while it makes it maybe not as easy to put in or take out of the sport armband, I don't worry at all about it ever falling out. It has seemed to get easier to put in and take out the more I have used it though, so something to take note of. Last but not least, I can still control the touchscreen quite easily through the plastic cover. Very happy with this product and glad I bought it. Would definitely recommend it for someone who is active and wanting a good quality armband to hold their phone so they can listen to music, and/or and keep it safe and handy during your workouts.

I have been doing a lot of biking lately - and use a Otterbox Commuter case on my phone. I wanted an armband that fit the phone and the case. I am a big guy (6'5") and I worried about the band length due to previous reviews. So - I ordered it with the extension. I received it quickly from the manufacturer well packaged and as I ordered. The phone slips tightly inside - and fits well. Because of the case it is a little more difficult to operate the screen - but totally workable and no fault of the arm band.

The top of the band has an area where the phone slips in and the bottom has three holes for the speakers of the iphone or various ports for phones that use a bottom port. The iphone uses a top port so I simply put in the ear buds - slide the top over most of the phone - and go. There is no way this bad boy could ever fall out - unless I crashed my bike... upside down... at about 50 MPH.... and frankly I would expect a broken phone... and bones... and a bad day.

I have a 15 inch bicep on my left arm and the band fit just fine without the extension strap. However, if I get all RIPPED and bulk up - I have the option of the strap. ;) On my ride the case stayed put even trail riding. I was able to use the screen - and the little holder for extra ear bug cord is genius.

It seems well made and looks like it should hold up. For the price it is a home run in my book.

You can put an iphone with an Otter commuter case in it, but it's hard. The good news is that this will make my iphone stay tightly insdie the armband. I am 110 pounds and I don't need an extension, actually

Here is the context. I am an average Joe who decided to get back into running. Nothing incredible, I started by doing some serious walking. After much research, I selected the Tune Belt Sport Armband with extender.

The first thing I will say (well, really ask), is how is someone supposed to use this product without an extender? Seems like it was made to fit kids unless you use the extender. Maybe the company thinks we are all marathon runners? Anyway, beyond that, the concept is good and execution is not that bad. The Tune Belt stays on the arm and is in good position. I use an Iphone 4S with the Runkeeper app. To make my life easier, I insert the phone upside down so the headphone wire comes out the bottom. This makes using the Runkeeper app a whole lot easier. I have no fear of my phone falling out based on the design and build of the Tune Band.

The phone fits very well in the pocket. The Tune Belt is comfortable and fairly easy to get on and off. However, here are some of the issues I discovered after two weeks of regular use:

☛ The face of the Iphone sticks to the plastic. I don't know why, it just does. When you pull the phone out after use, you have to separate the plastic from the face of the phone.
☛ The Iphone is not as touch responsive when in the case. It is hard to pull up other apps or playlists.

True, these are somewhat minor issues. But, they are annoying on a run, not so much on a walk and something to consider, especially for very serious runners.

I will stick with the Tune Belt for now and maybe look for something better as my running progresses.

Absolutely perfect armband for running and biking. Fits my iPhone snugly (though it works better if you take it out of whatever case you have it in), and fits my arm no problem; I've lost the extension strap because I didn't need it the first time, and haven't bothered looking for it since. Plenty of play in the fit of the regular strap. The phone stays strapped to your arm and doesn't go anywhere you don't want it to. Highly recommend.

I bought this model because it shipped with the extender included.
Not only is the extender required for larger arms but even if you have small arms it makes it much easier to tighten and install with just one hand.

I purchaced this band for my boyfriend. He has decent sized arms, so the extender makes a great fit with added room to expand further. Phone works great thru the plastic, sweat does not seep through; however, it is not completely water proof.
