This review is from: Armed Forces Fixed Blade w/ Sheath (Electronics)
I AM THOROUGHLY DELIGHTED WITH THIS SUPERB KNIFE. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS DESIGN FOR MANY YEARS AND FEEL THAT
THIS IS THE CULMINATION OF THE BEST KNIVES ON THE MARKET TODAY. THE KNIFE IS 1/4" THICK LOW-GLARE, TITANIUM-NITRIDE COATED, HIGH-CARBON 440-C STAINLESS STEEL WITH BLACK G-10 MICARTA SCALES,(GRIPS),SECURED WITH THREE STOUT FASTENERS. IT FITS THE HAND EXTREMELY WELL,EASILY BECOMING AN EXTENSION OF YOUR BODY. THE AMBIDEXTEROUS BLACK NYLON CORDURA SCABBARD IS ABLE TO MOUNT VIRTUALLY IN ANY POSITION ON YOUR BELT, VEST, LEG,OR PACK. THE MASSIVE TANTO BLADE IS EXTREMELY WIDE AND LARGE,EXTENDING INTO A BOWIE STYLE DOUBLE GUARD CUT FROM THE FULL-TANG BLADE,WITH MANY LANYARD-LASHING HOLES TO CREATE A SPEAR. I DO RECCOMEND A DROP OF SUPER GLUE IN ALL SCREW SHAFTS. TO SUM IT UP,I WOULD STAKE MY LIFE ON THIS FINE BLADE; THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IT'S MADE FOR. S.WILLIN

Boker. One of the TOP choices when it comes to Knife making IMO. I started with Soligen based German knives( as their craftsmanship is 2nd to NONE, handforged, full tang, even back in the 1940's), and ever since then have stuck with what works. Boker WORKS, and here is my review.
Boker plus. As with most knife companies nowadays, the demand for good survival knives has sky rocketed over the past 10 years, which has caused a MASS PRODUCTION of blades to be made. Mostly, nowadays they are made across seas, China, Japan, Kuwait, small 3rd world countries. Same with the Boker Plus line. I will be the 1st to tell you, I 2nd guess anything coming from other countries that the product does not originate from. So when I heard that my Boker Plus was being made in China, I started doing my homework on the blade. Boker now has facilities built to be closer to the middle east, as the demand for their knives is worldwide.(Soldiers, ex military, survival, pathfinders, etc) But dont let that fool you. These other countries who create the Boker line HAVE TO MEET BOKER REGUALTIONS AND STANDARDS when they deal and sell these blades. I purchased 1, so here is my KNIFE review. Pros: EXCELLENT, edge holder. Mine came sharp enough to shave my beard with. What I expect from a Boker. ; ) Metal Compound> it is titanium nitrate COATED to give it more durablity, also rougher abuse. 440c high carbon. ( no its not 1060 or 1040 HC, which takes oil to keep it mint), 440c high carbon, is the type of hardned metal you dont have to do anything to, and it will still deliver. It holds an edge quite well IMO. High Carbon in ANY knife is the first choice for a RELIABLE survival Knife again IMPO. Full Tang> A must have for survival. Fixed blades JUST DONT STACK UP. I dont care what brand it is. I go out in the mountains for weeks at a time, I take what I can put my LIFE INTO. and fixed blades dont give me ANY comfort. DURABLE> I MEAN DURABLE. I have a $190 tops knife, which is top of the line, but I would rather have this Boker at my hip, just because I spent less money on it, and it can take a beating without me cringing my teeth using that $190 one. ( Tops is a better quality, but you dont want to go out and mess up and wear out a knife you put THAT much money into).I have put this knife into a tree and stood on it, JUST to see the durability. (im 185 lbs). It passed 100%. Sheath> one of the better sheaths I have owned not to be kydex. The knife is snug but loose enough at the same time to draw it quick. Can be adjusted in about any way you see fit to were it. ( I just strap it to my hip or leg). The sheath also has buttons which securely fasten, but if you hunt, the "Snap" could jeapordize your postion. (The sheath also has drain holes if you happen to get wet. (Imo, another plus in the Mountain world) "Spear holes"> if you look in the pic, you will see holes in the nech guard, and base of the knife. Survivalist already know this is an added bonus, and if you dont know, you can use a little paracord, and have a GREAT outdoor spear. Bokers' setup was on point when they added the holes. (also has an angled base edge for knocking out windows, its actually grooved over and curled back under. Well done.) Weight> I think for a SURVIVAL knife the weight is perfect.Weighs around 1 1/2 pounds and does the balance trick on your finger well. Grip> Last but not least. Micrata hasnt let me down yet lol. Ive been rained on, snowed on, been through sand, leaves, brush, and every time I used this knife it has stayed snug in my hands. With any knife once YOU get used to it, it becomes 2nd nature, but this puts that trust in you the moment you grab it. I saw that user S. WILLIN wrote he needed superglue on the screws, I havent had that problem, yet, but it is something to just watch out for. If that does happen, and you had to remove your handles, paracord ALWAYS makes a great homemade grip. Cons. lol. Not 1. I saw that its too big for some, I cant say the same. It feels like money in my hand. No problems, controlled weight, and a trustworthy blade. Maybe in a smaller hand it feels overbearing, Then again maybe you need a smaller knife. the knife itself is about 12 1/2 inches.Sheath being 13. the coating does scratch, but you should expect that, repeatdly cutting, chooping, hacking, or sharpening. Hope this assisted you in looking for a good reliable knife you can put your LIFE into. You can trust in a High Carbon Full tang when it comes to the outdoor world. Not a fixed blade. Plus, its a Boker, enough said.
