We took my 4 year old son to an air show at the local air force base a few months ago and ever since then, he has been hooked on airplanes. When I happened to stumble upon this costume, I was so excited and absolutely had to buy it for him as a Halloween costume. I cringed at the price because we are usually pretty frugal with Halloween costumes, and after almost deciding not to buy it because of the price, I ended up purchasing it anyway. It was too perfect for him.

When I first received it, before I opened the plastic wrap, I kind of rolled my eyes and said, "Are you serious? This cost that much?" but after I removed the plastic wrap and actually felt the material and saw the stitching, I was pleasantly surprised! It's very detailed and authentic, and it's definitely nothing like what you'd buy at Kmart or Walmart.

Here in ND, our Halloweens are usually cold (and sometimes accompanied with snow!) so warmth is a big factor with costumes. My son will be able to wear a good two layers underneath this costume and stay warm all night!

Bottom line: yes, it's expensive, but it is worth the splurge if you have a little airplane fanatic!

I purchased the flight suit and helmet and only received the suit. I will never purchase from Amazon before the holidays.

My almost 3 year old wanted to be a "jet fighter pilot" ever since he met real jet fighter pilots at the bagel store. This costume was perfect! He looked great in it and it actually looked real. Love the patches on it and the fit was great. We initially bought the next size up because of the size chart and because everyone's reviews said it runs small. We ended up ordering the 2-3 because the next size was too big. My son is a tall kid and according to the size chart would have taken the next size up, but it really swallowed him in length. He got lots of compliments and looked great in it. Highly recommend this one to other people.

This was a costume for my 5yr old son. He likes it although, I read a lot of reviews saying that it ran a little small, so I ordered the 6/8. My son is tall so I thought it would be OK but it was a little too long. My son is also very skinny so it might run small in the width. All in all we are pleased with the product.

This was a real hit with my 3 year old grandson. He had to take the flight suit to bed with him he liked it so much!

The suit itself is good quality with actual patches sewn on and durable fabric. The helmet is nice but just plastic with stickers on it. My son is 8 but tall for his age and the size 8/10 is barely long enough. No way he will be able to wear next year. I would buy another size larger.

My 6 year old son loves it! We bought it as a Halloween costume and he wears it all the time to play in. Definitely get your money's worth.

The package arrived with just helmet in it, no suit. When contacted customer service, were told that the size we need is not in stock and we need to order somewhere else. That is totally unacceptable, if you don't have sizes in stock why ship just a helmet, did you expect customer will just swallow that or won't notice.

My son loves this costume and wears it on a daily basis. He wears 4T in Old Navy clothes and is about 80th percentile for height and this fits him well with a little room for growth. This is a very durable, high quality costume and worth every penny!

This is a decent costume that should provide a little more than just some one time fun. Mom said order the 8-10 size because the 7 year old (female) was tall for her age. That was a mistake. The 8-10 size was too long. Ordered the 6-8 and this should fit perfectly.

Looks well together & decently made.

On the first order the helmet was a little bent. no biggy. 2nd order helmet is fine.

The helmet is kind of an extra and fairly thin/cheap but that doesn't impact my review given the price.
