5.0 out of 5 stars Joe Stump at his best playing totally unrestrained!!!*****++
This instantly became my favorite JS cd as soon as I heard it(& I have them all, including the Reign of Terror stuff)! This is JS doing what he's best at, which is unrestrained improvision over some truely exellent riffage. He takes the gloves off for this & really let's it fly. It's JS, so of course the playing is techniquely flawless. However he absolutely...

1.0 out of 5 stars Malmsteen rip off of the decade.
I don't understand where these people come from. This guy not only copies Malmsteen's runs but poses like him on the albums. Malmsteen sucked and so does this guy.

It's JS, so of course the playing is techniquely flawless. However he absolutely doesn't sound like he's wandering around the guitar aimlessly. His playing is focused, thoughtful, & deliciously unpredictable! If you're one of those individuals who buys guitar cds, then whines like a girl about it being "mindless shredding", do yourself a favor & steer clear of this one, & any other JS cds for that matter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Excellent CD from Joe Stump, January 28, 2005
This review is from: Armed and Ready (Audio CD)
Another Excellent CD from the Shredlord, Joe Stump. These solos are played over pre-recorded backing tracks that were handed to Joe to shape into full instrumental guitar songs. And like the sonic blacksmith he is, the end product is this great CD; Brutal, relentless and faster than Superman!

5.0 out of 5 stars Run Joe Run, January 10, 2004

This CD contains shred guitar plus some excellently executed mulatto versions of shred rock (the track Destination being a good example). I don't see how any fan of exquisite guitar playing can not enjoy this CD.
