A very good, detailed look at the European armies of the Napoleonic era. From a miniatures painting viewpoint, the uniform details are more than sufficient to identify nations and units, although from an aesthetic view, the use of an overly "broad" brushstroke minimizes the highly detailed variances between separate regiments/battalion/squadrons.
To my knowledge, this book has been out-of-print for many years, so finding a good copy was a pleasure. |
